In Phase 1 you can go to play tennis and see drive in movies. Also today it was announced horse racing, car racing, and other sports like baseball will be allowed starting 6/1. With no spectators. I posted this information in the reopening thread by mistake, but it's probably more relevant here. I have just received word that Philadelphia trials are suspended through September 8th. Not sure what that will mean as far as lockdown, since lockdown for red counties in PA still hasn't been pushed back further than June 4th.
 
Wonder why Mayor Bill isn't closing yeshivas down during flu season since the flu kills an order of magnitude more young people than the Chinese virus. Like are we even at triple digits for people under 20 who have died of it?

Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) is still going. Stay-at-home order now extended through June 12. This despite the northern third of the state being allowed to reopen bars and restaurants, retail being reopened everywhere in the next few days, and the whole state now being allowed to gather up to groups of 10, so long as social distancing is observed at said gatherings.

Having read this screeching I can't tell whether or not you're annoyed because you believe the economy is going to be fucked due to opening up the borders for travel with your neighbours or believe that there will be an outbreak for the same reason.

Firstly we're level 2 not 3. Have been for a while now and for the most part things are going back to normal here.

Look I get you're salty because you're a mongoloid or something. I get it, I understood it around the time you said Clive Palmer was a nice guy. But maybe just think backwards for like 2 seconds.

Here's the thing.

Last time NZ had a big pandemic around 1918, it killed 9000 people in 2 months of a population of about a million, and it absolutely rekt the Pacific. Guess what retard, shit shut down then as it did this time. We just didn't bury a bunch of people this time.

Hence why we're super cautious about any others we maybe sent.

Now whether or not it comes back or not, who knows? But it looks like we've managed to more or less actually shut it down here.

The economy was going to go tits up with or without a pandemic. Everywhere. Only someone paying no attention would have missed that. A bunch of deaths all at once would just make the situation worse. But whatever I suppose.
 
No matter how you feel about lockdowns, it's not ChinkFlu or Governors' fault that:

- You're in debt and have no savings
- You can't cook your own food
- You didn't save money or prep for an emergency
- Your life revolves around getting shitfaced at Applebees
- You can't stand being alone with your own thoughts
- You actually hate your bf/gf/roommate/polycule
- Your kids are out of control because you wanted to play girlboss instead of actually raising them
- Your gourmet cereal barcade-slash-cat cafe or whatever shitty business idea went under

Having savings for an emergency is one thing. Watching them dwindle because of...nothing is something else entirely.
 
I learned in middle school that slave owners didn't allow slaves in large groups aka "social distancing" - so that they couldn't plan a revolt. Really makes you think....

Unpopular opinion, but accurate indeed. As a child-free, single, introverted son-of-a-chef, this lockdown is just an ordinary day for me. I work at home, I have no roommates or family to fight with, I cook all of my own meals, I avoid large crowds like the plague, and I prefer to go for walks alone instead of sitting close to people and having conversations. Being an introvert, it seriously baffles me how these extroverted cretins absolutely need to be wasting their lives shopping for useless things they don't need and always forcing conversations with everyone everywhere. When I go to the store, I grab my shit, make a beeline for the self checkout, then get the fuck out. Every fucking Karen needs to slowly pace up and down each aisle and contemplate what to buy, then awkwardly hang out by the register and chat with the bored clerk. Just get the fuck out.
