Where's this info from? All I've seen is this reddit shit:Actually Morrowind is at a larger scale vs Oblivion and Skyrim, since its only Vvardenfell yet it covers the same area as Skyrim pretty much

Also funny how Morrowind doesn't have the map size limits that the later games have
Tamriel Rebuilt and Project Tamriel, the autists that have been dealing with the maps and scales since before Morrowind even came out. I would link you to their gridmaps but it seems the up to date ones are only on their gay discord now, TDD.Where's this info from? All I've seen is this reddit shit:

The problems at Bethesda are never going to be just with one guy. Emil is a scapegoat because he's the one who went out and bragged about some of the company's weaknesses, but he's only one symptom of a much larger issue, that being that Bethesda is full of shitty writers operating without a large and coherent vision. If Emil was fired tomorrow, he'd be replaced either by someone equally as visionless, or by a DEI hire who thinks that Bethesda's real problem is putting too many white dudes in their games. As long as Bethesda keeps Emil Pagafuckface (the lead for fallout 3, fallout 4, and starfield.) in his current position, no, I have no faith whatsoever.
Emil is... Not a good writer. He needs to have someone looking over his shoulder to tell him "No Emil, you cannot put the actual Santa Claus in Morrowind as a literal cocaine dealer" and edit his retarded ideas into something more workable and lore friendly (Literal cocaine Santa becomes uncle sweetshare, for example) or "No Emil, you cannot completely disregard the lore because 'its funny' or you don't care because the old lore disagrees with the dumb story you want to tell" (The ghoul kid in the refrigerator and jet being a pre-war drug) and that used to be something Todd Howard used to do.
Todd, for all his faults, has always had an open door policy that has been traditionally used to make Emil stop being a fucking retard, but with Bethesda now being spread across multiple states, that isn't feasible anymore. The guy in California who is being told by Emil to do something retarded can't walk into Todd's office in Texas (or wherever it is located) to complain about it, and so you end up with Starfield being written without a cohesive design document.
But the problem is that Emil... is unlikely to get fired or demoted. Despite being a fucking moron the games he has been head honcho for have sold really well, despite being bad / heavily criticized. Objectively speaking he's an idiot but to corporate, green line go up, so he stays and gets promoted again.
Is that Tamriel rebuilt's gridmap?
I was using Emil as an example since he is the most egregious one, and the one who, since bloodmoon, has had to have Todd Howard tell him "No Emil, you cannot do that"If Emil was fired tomorrow, he'd be replaced either by someone equally as visionless
I'm kinda not sure he ever could. Redguard was a flop. It seems like his most significant decision with Morrowind was just giving Kirkbride and Kuhlmann the green light to go insane and create an incredibly compelling world to make the game worth playing. Oblivion was basically just an aesthetic pivot and watering down to profit off the hype of Jackson's LOTR trilogy, it sold well, and everything since has been a steady march toward lowest common denominator.I don’t believe Todd Howard can make a good game anymore. He no longer has good people working with him, and the success of Oblivion and Skyrim made him believe that degeneracy as game design was the way to go.
Talking about maplimits, Daggerfall covers the entire illiac bay of hammerfell and high rock, with traveling from one end to the other on foot taking actual days (apparently can be done in ~69 hours).Actually Morrowind is at a larger scale vs Oblivion and Skyrim, since its only Vvardenfell yet it covers the same area as Skyrim pretty much

Wasn't there some kind of oversight where the distances were so large that the game would run out of memory and crash before you could reach a destination?Talking about maplimits, Daggerfall covers the entire illiac bay of hammerfell and high rock, with traveling from one end to the other on foot taking actual days (apparently can be done in ~69 hours).
Not sure. Probably on old machines, but people definitely have done videos on such travels on newer machines.Wasn't there some kind of oversight where the distances were so large that the game would run out of memory and crash before you could reach a destination?
yeah the real question with TES6 will be seeing what insane monetization scheme they put in to try and prevent another situation like with Skyrim where the game keeps a dedicated playerbase for 15 years that they don't get to capitalize on. It will fail and so will the game, of course.I'm not going to say it'll be shit because of the writing, because Bethesda hasn't written a good game in 20 years now and Elder Scrolls lore is demented.
But Starfield was so fucking boring and soulless and whatever they've been doing with Fallout hasn't even been fun to play, so TE6 will almost assuredly be a disaster.
With paid mods, I'm sure.

That was Arena, not daggerfall. The manual said you could and people tried but you would cause a crash and no mater how far you walked in one direction if you turned around to look behind you, you'd see the city you JUST LEFT 50 feet behind you.Not sure. Or they just simply patched that at some point.
Their current scheme of creation club (Official Micro-DLC) + creation network (Paid mods) being purchased by "bethesdacoin" or whatever has actually been incredibly profitable.yeah the real question with TES6 will be seeing what insane monetization scheme they put in to try and prevent another situation like with Skyrim where the game keeps a dedicated playerbase for 15 years that they don't get to capitalize on.
