MY point is that people treat their outwardly expressed political affiliation like it's a fashion statement rather than something they've honestly thought through. The worst thing is that you're expected to buy the whole package without asking questions or pointing out flaws in the structure.

I know little of this website's political alignment, but at least for me, I just would rather be here because the people who shout nigger, troon, and faggot are at worst facetious and just want to enjoy freedom of speech while outside of here, it feels like constantly walking on eggshells. Observing from the sidelines, and having hung out around most any ill-reputed website you can name over the years, I would say it's almost purely reactionary. Mainstream consensus is SJW liberal, so the edgy contrarian counter-culture stance is to be MAGA conservative.

I remain convinced that most of today's neo-nazi chuds would be left leaning Occupy supporters if we turned back the clock 20 years, because back then, things were the other way around. Post 9-11, war on terror Bush era, it wasn't pronoun people telling you you can't say no-no words, it was Christian soccor moms telling you you're not allowed to have violent videogames etc.
