Why do people get angry with lolcows?

Sperging at hand: While I am thankfully not physically in any way like this guy, he and I share at least a certain history of getting bullied as kids and developing a certain interest in animation as a form of escapism. The main difference between us being, I realized that I can not draw and therefore wanted to do something else, more "realistic" to get money and around. Secondly, I eventually grew out of my childhood issues and came to the conclusion that growing up actually doesn't suck as much as those people think. Did I abandon an interest in childish stuff as such? Not really. Still read comics or watch animation, but I don't walk around prancing how much "mature" I am for playing Super Mario RPGs instead of "sexist dudebro crap", cause I have at least enough self awareness to know that there is nothing that mature about it. So I grew up, more or less, Dobson and others didn't. And frankly, it is something I hate in lolcows in general, not just Dobson. Heck, till I realized that Chris Chan really was a lost cause I was considering to pull up a prank myself on him. Now I only feel pity for this guy cause he is really that much of a exceptional individual. With Dobson it is something different, cause his "issues" aside, this guy could still be at least a member of society contributing something. But he doesn't. And leeches like him deserve IMO some kharmic kick in the ass to either be gone (not die, but I would find it hilarious if his twitter gets banned for some reason) or as a wake up call to improve themselves. Unfortunately, the later seems to become more and more the less likely possibility.

Which I find sad in the way as that while I don't think Dobson is the greatest story writer or artist out there (even at best his stuff is average/mediocre in my opinion) he actually could do something with a few of his ideas, if he just sat down and decided not to just rip off every trope in animation from 1989-99 while lacking an understanding as of why they worked

Or perhaps I just like to rage over shitty people because I have to deal with them enough in real life and its cathartic?

I've only gotten irritated with cows on occasion. Wu is an obvious one but I cant say that heshewhatever really ever irked me enough to remember it seconds later. You know what though? Fucking TimBox. He's completely harmless and just goes on about his dumb Dexter's lab stuff but for whatever reason I just want to swat him in the back of the head. It's not rational, I understand that. There's just some sort of primal high school bully urge to shove him in a locker that I don't experience with any other cow. To be honest I don't even know that much about the guy, probably because he doesn't really make me laugh.

As an aside, its extra hard to get irked at Dobson these days. Dude is made of mush and is scared of video game badguys.

Anyways, the worst I get with lolcows is a mild disgust and a "why?". Unless they're truly terrible people or say/do something incredibly stupid to justify their idiocy (like with Jafar above, or for someone more serious, JTM and his fellow pedophiles). That's when the hate is, at least in my view, necessary. Otherwise, I cannot see why someone would flip their shit at someone like Chris or anyone like him.

To better elaborate- People like Dobson may (and do, admittedly) make me frustrated, especially when they pull out the victim card like they tend to do. But I try to show some restraint and not outright say "Oh, I wish they would die" or anything along those lines. It's when those who've actually been proven to be such terrible people in real life, like child rapists or those who outright attempt, or even commit, murders that I have nothing but hate for. As that's where people need to be focusing their true disgust at. Not just at some failed fatass who claims to be a feminist or a sperg with an unhealthy obsession over cartoons (as tempting as that may seem).

And that's just it, Dobson's rarely got the drive to even bother putting pencil to paper. And when he does, while it isn't eye-seeringly terrible, can come out as lazy and lopsided more often than not. And he did show some promise back in the day. All I can say is that he's much better than I am to some degree. But for a 30-something who went to art school, I also expect better.

As for the A-Log thing, again, unless it's towards a child rapist or a murderer. That could really apply to anyone (Chris, Dobson, Striker, A-Log himself, etc.)
