It depends whether you're talking about Asians in the West or their own countries. Usually the former translates to oppressed, while the latter is a mixed bag. Many leftists like the whine about Japanese internment, while hating Japan itself for the fact they never fit the criteria of a non-white oppressed country. In fact, when the tsunami happened, I remember many on Facebook calling it "karma" for everything from Pearl Harbor and Nanking, to whaling and tentacle porn.
As for China and Korea, saying the Japanese "brutalized" them by introducing railroads, sanitation, and societal reform is about as ridiculous as saying European countries brutalized Africa the same way. You also have the fact the Chinese and Koreans were brutalized for centuries by the mongols. Ironically, Chicoms are now brutalizing Uyghurs, the sediment at the bottom of the genetic Tartary barrel. Karma? It's likely a leftist wouldn't even know about it, and will deny Tibet to sympathize with their beloved Chairman Mao. Most leftists don't know anything about Korea apart from K-poop, and wouldn't surprise me if they didn't know knew they ate dogs over there, and that ones here during the Los Angeles Riots were George Zimmermans twenty years before it was cool.
Turks for the most part are huwhite. It's Turkmen and most other Altaic people who are not. It's the same with Hungarians, Bulgarians, and maybe Finns, but are more considered white because they're Christian. Anyway, the whole concept of racial whitening you describe some talking about is ridiculous and also ironic, considering how much they hate Brazil.
