I think you're touching on a deeper issue without meaning to.

It all boils down to the sexual revolution. People who flout society's rules on sexual conduct for its own sake, because those rules make their tummy feel sad for some arbitrary reason.

That's essentially what "queer" is. Flouting sexual norms for the sake of flouting sexual norms, and throwing a bitch fit over anyone who disapproves.

It's all part of the fetish for them. The more counterintuitive and unnatural the sexual practice is, the better-er it is. When sodomy becomes too commonplace and banal, they move onto even more shocking things, like gender-bending fetishes, polyamory, furfaggotry, or (eventually) pedophilia. Even Gayle Rubin, a major player in the queer movement, has admitted that this is so.

Yeah, I had someone online straight up admit to me that queer means that you're a (and I quote) "Rebel, cool, an outsider, and a lucid thinker," its like if that's your definition of "queer" then its no wonder teenagers adopt the queer identity. They've turned it into this "cool alternative lifestyle". They ironically claimed that Pete Buttigieg (despite being a gay man) isn't queer because hes a centrist. This goes back into what I said in that the problem is more than just the trans community, the problem is that we have an entire ideology where people (mostly internet users) have created a culture where they are desperate to not be seen as straight or not trans and adopt these labels to appear "different" even when they've never been with anyone of the same sex or go through with transitioning.

Nope, rebelling against reality isn't cool. Turning your unresolved adolescent angst into an ideology or lifestyle isn't cool.

And it's especially not cool when yucky people groom teenagers into fag/troon lifestyles by telling them that it's so damn cool to do so.

We still don't have very much long-term data on troons considering how transgenderism has only relatively recently become a normalized popular phenomenon. What data we do have does prove hormonal balances and unnecessary surgeries do impact your lifespan negatively. But I think if in 10-20 years from now, there was an undeniable link between medical transition and some very fatal disease/cancer, then that would be the final nail in the coffin of public support. Because of the sunk-cost fallacy, people are going to try to suppress it though. It's going to be just like how they suppressed anti-vax info so heavily, but only now are willing to admit vaccine injuries are real.

I'd imagine some of it will go the way of the dodo when a significant portion of allies and parents learn that a lot of negative truths were suppressed and that they were party to some Nazi-level medical atrocity. Can't call anyone bigot when they were telling the truth all along, and that is going to sting for a lot of progressive types. And we are starting to see cracks in the medical machine that they are starting to admit detransitioners are in fact real and not a myth.

This is a few months old but all of those old "3rd genders" that progressives always trot out as evidence of troons existing in history was various cultures' way of explaining effeminate gay men (and to a lesser extent, butch lesbian women I believe). To the mind of ancient tribes and such they were males who had the mannerisms and personalities of females. It's not really a choice like trooning out is; some guys really are just born gay and effeminate, usually due to very low T I assume. Obviously they weren't going to be good fighters, and probably seen as incapable of fathering children. But they couldn't get pregnant or produce milk like women could. The best way to fit these guys into society was to call them their own thing and try to find a use for them. A lot of them became eunuchs, or were involved in religion/spiritualism. It also basically just became a loophole to fuck them without being considered "gay" and getting stoned to death for it.

It wasn't something you just opted into, it was a way to make sense of fags, and you can pretty much tell when someone is one. I definitely don't think any of the modern day AGP type troons would have ended up being a member of these groups because they aren't feminine in any way. If you're a regular man, you're gonna be doing regular man jobs whether you like it or not.
