Do you let it grow out long? Do you keep it short and tidy? Or do you prefer being bald?

When it gets too long to groom and keep out of my face, generally. I sometimes go a year or two between haircuts if there's no reason to cut it, when I was getting married I had Jesus style long hair and got it all chopped off to look more presentable, some years I'll get a nice high fade freshen it up every 2 months or so. This summer I buzzed my head once every 2 weeks.

I'm maintaining a shag so my time limit is about three months, same as my regrowth for my color. If the length gets too low it just doesn't flow right and my layers need touched up around then.

I just wanted to say I'm a stylist and I'm here for the comments. I'm seeing, fade, fade, short fade, big chop. Ya'll making Josh look bad with his scissor cut. 😂

I'm nearly a year into growing mine out. Endgame is an early 70s rocker look, a bit past the shoulders.
I've always liked long hair but didn't feel like committing to it until recently. Getting a short cut always makes me feel like a schoolboy being groomed by his mom, I hate it.

I cut mine whenever it gets too hot and heavy, usually once every year or two when summer hits. I have a fuckton of clips, claws and hair sticks. I don't bother with hair styles, I just twist it and clip it. I hate having my hair cut with a passion, I don't understand how guys can stand going to a salon every six weeks, surrounded by other people's cut and discarded hairs, and have a complete random wave razors and blades around their neck, head and face. Ew.

Are you wanting the feather and all that? That's kinda shaggy. You might want medium layers and a good styling routine. I know a lot of guys are in that mindset that boy long= one length. They definitely didn't think that in the 70's.

Yeah last time I attempted this a couple years ago I had no idea about layers or anything. This time I'll go to a stylist when the time comes, as of now it's still fine the way it is.
I have 2a-2b almost-curly hair and was thinking more uniform length, no feathers. Long drapes that begin waving on the way down.

You could have pretty long layers on top if you style it back. I've seen older gentleman do that for a full effect.

Weight pulls out curls so layers are better.
