Interesting, but I don't see how that precludes sex tourists from visiting the other islands of Indonesia. I don't recall Indonesia cracking down on prostitution to that extent.

It doesn't, but Bali is generally safe, clean, caters to foreign tourists, has a vibrant bar/club scene and is overall known as a good vacation/getaway spot.
