Bob's death messed Chris up for quite a while. Between his silence about it and his prolonged abscence from the internet, it's safe to say that Chris took it pretty hard. The fact that Death had promised Chris his dad wouldn't kick the bucket before 2015 didn't help.

Along those lines, Chris level of preparedness for Barb's death might affect how he copes with it and the aftermath of it.

Unfortunately, Chris may pay more attention to a dream or a gut feeling than a doctor telling him that she only has a few months.

Could be that Chris traded in the Cadillac for the current iteration of SonChu. Dealers will often take junkers on trade and knock a couple hundred off the final selling price. The Cragislist listings went down right around the time Chris got his new wheels.
I am pretty sure the Caddy was still for sale for $5K after Chris got the Ford Focus.

He didn't say much about it but his absence from the Internet for months afterwards told us it hit him pretty hard.

In a way it really shaped the Chris we know today. I'm sure if Bob was still alive today Chris would still be the goofy autist in the clown shirt that would make 2-3 youtube videos a week.

He did start transitioning to Tomgirl prior to Bob's passing. So I am not sure that development would have been aborted. Bob wasn't a big fan of the cross-dressing, so I guess there is a possibility he might have quashed it somehow.

As I understand it the videos largely stopped because the trolls in chief stopped getting him to make them. Which was because of Bob's death. But that is more Bob's death shaping trolling and not Bob's death shaping Chris.

He could easily wind up destitute. He's unlikely to become a ward of the state if he hasn't become one already, and that he's the one getting the checks instead of Barb tells me she isn't considered his guardian as she would've been in his childhood. I don't believe Chris will be "swindled" or fall victim to a predatory loan or some other such scheme, not that he's too smart for something like that; what benefit would there be in conning him? His house is shithole and he's barely got any money of his own.

Unless Cole decides to support Chris, and I don't think that's likely, Chris's legendary financial irresponsibility will catch up to him. Compound this with his growing tendency to become violent in public; he has no future. He's not likely to become psychotic enough for involuntary commitment, so his outbursts will eventually land him in the slammer. And that gets expensive: even after a short sentence, Chris will owe some money to the state. So he's a convicted felon on a fixed income, he hardly ever bathes, he eats nothing but garbage, and he's got nothing in his life going for him besides the escape of LEGO and vidya, so odds are he's not cutting those things out of his bare-bones budget.

Chris is unique in that every facet of his life is documented and available for any boob with an internet connection to explore, but when I see weird homeless people with wiry hair babble to themselves and pace back and forth on the street, I've got to wonder if Chris is so unique in his level of illness and spiritual deformity.

When Chris is alone, he'll be a broken human being. I hope that people online steer him towards some form of stability and security, because he's going to be shattered and unstable.

Chris' maintains financial stability. Barb kind of interferes by arbitrarily taking money from him. Without her, he'd do pretty decently.

Chris' outbursts are receding with each incident, not growing. For example, he's not going to use pepper spray again. It's very hard for Chris to charged with a crime IRL without a weapon.

Oh no, don't take the cwcki seriously as an accurate representation of Chris. There's lots missing and what is there is pretty misleading. The cwcki is for humor purposes and it documents a very warped view of Chris during his time spent on the internet. Chris IRL is different in some important ways.

It's hilarious how many times you have to reiterate this.
Heh, well, I can understand people seeing stuff documented to such meticulous standards and assuming it's all encompassing, or close to it.

I guess you're right about the outbursts, since backing up over a guy is more serious than spraying mace in someone's general direction.

But the idea of Chris himself being financially stable is one that doesn't sit right with me. I'll concede it's been a while since he was stealing credit cards and that his projected LEGO funds are exaggerated here on the farm, but he still gets in trouble with the law. The nature of his outbursts may seem to be receding, but we don't have enough of them that involved an arrest to really make a call on the pattern; I admit I commented on that without really thinking about it. But so long as Chris struggles with coping with the outside world and continues to venture out into it, court fees are going to prove costly.

Destitution isn't a foregone conclusion, no, but it's enough of a possibility that we can all see Chris is facing just such an anxiety about the future. The problem is that he's sublimating it into something profoundly ridiculous, as is his m.o.: the Blarms. He realizes he gives a big shit about something, but he's unable to identify what that is due to his naivety and autism. Most neurotypical adults, productive members of society, struggle with identifying their own feelings and processing them and sitting with them even though they're unpleasant. Can you imagine how impossible that is for old JenkinsJenkies?

The amount of money he spent on legos, during his big lego binge, was probably underestimated on here, mostly because Chris is extremely inefficient in how he buys legos. He refuses to wait or be inconvenienced if the only benefit to waiting is that things are slightly cheaper.

But the dollar amount is a red herring. People here are focusing on the wrong thing. The big picture is that Chris maintains these retarded spending habits because he can. Chris has a very comfortable situation. He spends shitloads of money because, after he's paid his bills for the month, and minus whatever Barb takes from him, he's got lots of money/credit to spend.

We don't have enough documentation of his outbursts because few of Chris' public outbursts end in arrests, or really any trouble at all. We don't hear about the duds because they're not funny.

In practice, this gamestop thing would've been just like the other dozen or so bans Chris has had. Chris goes into a store, acts like a jackass and runs away when he sees the manager. The only reason this was any different was because Chris had pepper spray with him. And in response to this event, Chris is scared shitless of pepper spray and I doubt he'll use it again. He's just going to go back to his normal life.

As far as his spending habits are concerned, are you of the opinion that, when the Barb well at last runs dry, he'll come to figure out that he can't maintain his ridiculous hobbies the way he's enjoying them now? I can see that, but I'm not sure how quickly that will occur to Chris. The CWCki may exaggerate things to humorous effect, but Chris and learning aren't exactly on familiar terms with one another.

He can learn not to pepper spray people because he'll get arrested, sure, but how long can he delay gratification for the sake of financial sensibility?

Where does he buy his legos from?

I'm not so sure he's got an aversion to pepper spray. He certainly marvelled at how "badass" it made him feel afterwards.

Ebay is defenitely up there although I wouldn't be surprised if he buys them from the official Lego site as well (where you pay full markup and then some!)

I thought he just got them at Wal-Mart or Target or something.
