I think CWC will pull a Norman Bates. Just keep Barb around and say things he would never say to her when she was alive.

If I had to wager, Chris will fail after Barb dies.
There's only so hard you can "fail" as long as you have an ironclad monthly income. And believe me, it is ironclad. If we ever get in a nuclear war, the last government building standing will be one little Social Security office in Virginia printing checks to one C. Chandler.

I want that as a mod for Fallout. You'll be given free caps daily depending on your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats

I think it was Marvin who said this, but Chris isn't (that) stupid; he knows bills need to be paid, and he's smart enough to recognize patterns in the bills- when they arrive, what they're for, when they're due, etc. He'll make the minimum payment necessary to keep the lights on, but otherwise blissfully ignore reality.
However, this is where the Idea Guys and their manipulation come into play. They've convinced Chris (who was never the most stable individual to begin with) that his lunatic creations are real, and that he can meet them. Chris has been blowing off his credit card debt (until reality intrudes in the form of lawsuits), believing himself to be rich in his fantasy world, and as soon as the dimensional merge happens, he'll pay off the debt. His grip on reality is more tenuous than ever, and one of two things will happen: 1., he'll get a grip and carry on much as before, hiding out in his room, living a white trash lifestyle and sperging about Sonichu; or 2., he'll go completely off the deep end and have to be forcibly committed.
In my humble opinion, the "Straightjacket Saga" won't be a thing unless something (such as a new Idea Guy) appears and gives Chris that final push over the edge.
The idea guy thing is definitely a concern, right now Barb acts as a sort of gatekeeper to Chris in person if anyone was to turn up at their door but with her gone idea guys could bribe/trick Chris into letting them into his home.

And already we’ve got the likes of the people who bought Chris a Nintendo Switch telling him they’re moving in nearby and not to tell anyone, I can only imagine attempts will increase when Barb is out of the picture.

People generally show up all the time. They can easily get into 14BC.

Barb is just going to exploit her swiftly approaching death to further emotionally abuse Chris. Chris is actually going out now and talking to people. but Bard has been shown to get incredibly jealous that anyone gets attention besides her. I can see her blaming Chris for the fact she's dying (even though it's just nature) and use it to squeeze every little last bit of happiness out of him before her black heart stops. How much she hurts him right before her death compared to after is yet to be seen.

If Barb passed away, Chris will probably announce that Magi-chan will finally take her place as his caretaker since its obvious that he cares about Magi-chan more than his own mother.

And he may announce the completion of merge by reaching to the heavens to join his OCs with a leap of faith from some tall place.

Then again, since this is Chris, he'll probably never have the guts to take his own life even if he'll be all alone.

He's too much of a coward to even admit his failings at life , let alone taking his own.

You're right about him being a coward, but there's also his massive ego to consider. The merge is total horseshit, but it does show that chris puts himself on a very, VERY high pedestal. He considers cartoons to be serious business, and now he's made himself high-god-empress of all reality in his universe. He'd only ever harm or kill himself by accident.

As for my current prediction of chris post barb: Begging like never before. Well, not so much 'begging' but screaming, jumping, panicking and DEMANDING money to support himself and the house. We'll get a week or so of stunned silence, but Barb won't even be in the ground before chris gets a taste of sympathy money from the trolls and expects that kind of cash to come in every week or every day to fill the void left by his mom. I think we'll see the death of the merge narrative as he fights the end boss of the chris chan saga: The bank who wants to evict his ass.

I still say Barb outlives Chris, she just has that haughty old southern battleaxe immortality. She will live to 100. Chris is obese, been on cholesterol meds since his 20's, subsists on a fast food diet, no exercise, STRESS, autism (shorter average life span), and who knows what he has been putting into his body for his True and Honest Lesbian Transgender Female Soul transition. Don't pick out Barbara Anne's casket just yet. Hell Chris could roll the ol' Caravan off a highway overpass tomorrow while arguing with Magi-Chan or something since he is so nuts now.

"Magi-Chan, NOOOOO!"

When Barb dies, Chris should try to cement his future by charging people to fuck her corpse before it gets cold.

When Barb dies, who's going to report it first? Will it be Chris himself on Twitter or will it be an insider? What if the insiders waited a while to report it so Chris isn't flooded with a-logs and w e ens during probably the most painful, world changing moment of his life?

I bet you, w€€ns will scream JULAY or Get a Job non stop at Chris after Barb dies. DarkWestern or fucking Hirtes are weirdo motherfucker and will probably repeat that at Chris until he dies.

As much as I want Blarb to die to kick off the next saga, I highly doubt she'll die anytime soon. She's got another 10-15 years in her at least.
