Bob was a senile old redneck who gets white-knighted because he wasn't as shitty as Barb and because Chris seems sincere in his love for the man. I can't honestly say he was a good parent, but he was at least an amusing one. Remember he was the one who got Chris on his tugboat and convinced him he'd lose it if he got a job. That's classic trailer trash.

He wasn't even that much of a redneck. Not many pure white trash have multiple patents to their name. Or support the United Nations, for that matter.

Bob had high hopes for Chris as evidenced in his final letter to him. He wanted Chris to become famous and for sonichu to become the face of autism so the world may better understand it, he got his wish in a twisted monkeys paw kind of way.

I know I'm late. But what letter?

He also attended a Korean church and counted it's members as personal friends. Dude was a free-wheeling hippy compared to the 1930s Alabama he grew up in.

The uncut saga will begin.
Probably will end up accidentally killing himself because he has no one to babysit him

Let's be real, Chris most likely have his period of grief while someone else takes care of his mother's remains. Once that is over with he will most likely live in the house until all the unpaid utility/ISP/whatever else bills pile up and his services get cut, that's when he will most likely go on a meltdown.

Who else? Do you mean one of her countless friends and family members who care deeply about Barb and will miss her when she's gone?

Her obituary will read something like this guy's: http://obit.carnesfuneralhome.com/leslie-ray-charping
Ouch, well you have a point but I still somehow hold out hope that either Chris WILL phone someone who can help him in the situation but the more likely thing to happen is that he will make a tweet or a Facebook post about it :cringe:

Yes, but that will be the best and most defining moment in Chris' life.

The government will give him a chance with probably Section 8 housing to rebuild his life from the ground-up. No influence from his dysfunctional family, only case workers, social workers, counselors, etc...

Unfortunately, Barb is going to live forever.

Barb will likely get hospitalized for something, go into a skilled facility, and be on APS' radar. They'll lose the house before Barb dies.

I seriously doubt she'll voluntarily go into a nursing home. She is probably the sort who will insist on dying at home and threaten to murder anyone who tried to take her involuntarily.

Most places shill it as rehab, with people only staying a few weeks. This is actually where nursing homes make their money. It isn't by giving geezers a permanent home - They will be thrilled to "help Barb become more independent" until, after a few stays, she has to stay forever.

fixed that for you

stop right there
that's the flaw in all of this
money going to a home is money not going to sheetz or goodwill

I can see Barb voluntarily going once Chris goes utterly off the deep end and spends so much money that she starves 3 weeks out of the month. Nursing homes are terrible, but 14 BLC is just as bad. She already lives in filth and is abused by her caregiver, might as well get a bingo night out of it.
