Containment What will happen when Barb dies?

Most places shill it as rehab, with people only staying a few weeks. This is actually where nursing homes make their money. It isn't by giving geezers a permanent home - They will be thrilled to "help Barb become more independent" until, after a few stays, she has to stay forever.

Barb knows that shit. She ain't goin' into no home. That's just the kind of white trash she is. Count on it.

I can see Barb voluntarily going once Chris goes utterly off the deep end and spends so much money that she starves 3 weeks out of the month. Nursing homes are terrible, but 14 BLC is just as bad. She already lives in filth and is abused by her caregiver, might as well get a bingo night out of it.

Chances of Barb starving before then?

I think what Seregios was referring to was making Chris a ward of the state, which is actually a complex process, even when the person legitimately can't perform any ADLs. It can take months, or even years, to make someone a ward of the state, or to give someone POA. I'm actually in favor of making you or Null POA, but I sincerely doubt either of you want it, or that Chris would willingly give it. Making him a ward of the state is a terrible idea. I know some people like Chris who have had both parents pass and ended up wards of the state, and their self-care skills decline sharply, as does their personal happiness.

The best thing right now, in my view, is to leave Chris where he is. I wish the people who genuinely care about Chris lived closer. *sigh*

I see and I really don't know the process behind it but what is the plan when Barb dies or they are evicted? Are all of us going to rally behind Null and do something or is his step siblings going to handle him? I get he's an adult but no way in Hell there's an ounce of state recognized sanity

You're late as fuck my dude.

I know. I'm curious and new to the CWCverse. I just want to know what is the end game

Chris is some Game of Thrones-level shit. Characters come in and out, and we've wound down from the most exciting stuff. No idea what the end will hold, but a lot of us are buckled in for something insane. All we have in the meantime are fan theories.

I believe that Barbe will stay with Chris until dying of an illness relating to her lifestyle. She will not leave Chris due to her ignorance of money & the internet, as well as the fact that she no longer has any social relationships outside of Chris. Also, her hoarding obsession.

Barbe relies on Chris's monthly tugboat as well as donations from the fine lads of Kiwi Farms and elsewhere. She has no idea how these donations work, but she'll beg in these videos all the same; and she needs Chris for them.

She also has no real friends or relatives left outside of Chris. She's popping up more in begging vids and elsewhere because she has no one else to interact with.

Add this in with her crippling hoarding, she will not leave her shit behind. I believe more than anything that she will not leave her shit behind. She's rather die than lose her old newspapers and random junk like she did in the house fire. If anything, she is likely accumulating more shit like a white trash dragon.

See...That's what I'm saying. This is beyond anything G.R R. Martin or Steven King on a coke binge could ever dream up. Not white knighting here but seriously concerned what happens when Barb dies and the bills stop being paid, just concerned what happens after the party.. Turning into Boogie Nights 2: Sonichu Boogaloo

the end game is to raid barbs funeral by throwing pickles and shouting JULAAAAAAY at everyone there
I honestly wouldn't be shocked. Wonder if the "hedgehog defensive position" will return

Barb's death won't send Chris selling his ass on the street because Chris is the one paying the bills, not her. If anything she steals money from him. Chris is perfectly capable of managing his finances, he's been doing it for years.

You should lurk moar.

We have people who have been here longer than him who somehow refuse to believe this is possible.

Chris does struggle with paying his bills. He is very aware of his debt and does try to pay it off. But apparently that translates to "tard man don't know how money work, Virgina please babysit him"

Have you seen what gets dumped on the states door?

I'm saying he's going to loose his mother. There won't be any begging. He'll be shell-shocked. Look what happened after Bob died.

Like I said, new to this. It's fascinating really but one can't help but have some form of emotion beyond laughing at a mentally ill person.
