As others have said, there's no way Chris is going into a group home.

At least against his will. And the only way it wouldn't be against his will would be if he's literally freezing to death on the street and has managed to alienate every single person who would put him up for a few weeks. Most likely he'd be in some shitty single unit apartment maybe until he got something like Section 8 housing in a few months or years.

Look at Terry Davis. He's way more out of his mind than Chris and they can only lock him up when he commits some petty crime involving being broke and out of his mind.

@Thomas Jay Wasserberg too

chris will fight hella hard to keep that house, people seem to think he is just going to lose the house instantly when barb dies but i simply dont buy that. I dont buy it at all.

I don't think he'll lose the house the moment Barb dies (unless Cole is feeling really spiteful and decides to take the worthless house away just to fuck over Chris, and I don't see that happening) but it's clear that Chris does not like living in the hoard.

Chris may linger in 14 Branchland Court for a few more months after Barb's death, but I have no doubt he'll want to leave and I would not put it past him to try to beg for any asspatters he may have in his court to help him.

Nah Chris will never want to leave his house. Autists hate changes like that. He even wanted to move Catherine in with him and Barb instead of them getting a place together. I'm not saying Chris doesn't know about the mortgage and that it has to be paid, but I doubt that Chris knows that losing the house after Barb passes is even a possibility or he would be shitting himself. Even more than usual.

I don't think he'll move out unless he's forced to, like if it does turn out that Barb has re-mortgaged the thing to the hilt. If it's just unsecured debt on the estate, they might just let it slide, keep a lien on it, and wait for him to sell it or die. If he was smart, he'd rent part of the house to someone normal enough to have an income and weird enough to put up his strange ass, and get their help cleaning out the hoard.

Being Chris, though, he'll probably shit himself and do nothing until the house gets seized months or years later.

He'll probably sit in it going insane for a few months, though, before doing anything. Possibly something like the electricity or Internet being shut off would set a fire under his ass.

g in the hoard.

That's not how the autistic mind works. They absolutely detest change to the point of even getting violent at mild changes in their routine. Chris has never shown any signs of wanting to leave and as pointed out above, even wanted to move Catherine into the hoard rather than himself moving out.

Probably. Chris will definitely linger around for a while, but I don't see him wanting to stay in 14 Branchland Court for more than a year at the most. He hates the hoard but is too lazy and weak to actually clean it up.

That being said, as others have pointed out, autists hate change so we may have Chris live in 14 Branchland Court until the house is taken away or Chris dies. It's pretty much all he knows, even if he does hate living in the hoard, he'd probably hate the drastic change just as much.

IT IS A THING CALLED AUTISM, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF IT??????????

It's not a matter of Chris' intent, but his ability to legally retain the house in the first place.

Chris passionately dislikes the hoard and the state of 14BC. He's got too many bad memories of the house and there's very little holding him there.

Chris only wanted to move Catherine in there because he's very loyal to Barb.

No, Chris feels like Barb and 14BC are anchors holding him down. He would definitely want to get rid of them. Loyalty to Barb is what kept him at 14BC.

He tried to clean up portions of it before, but Barb threatened suicide.

the group home thing is one of those common [mis]conceptions that i've never understood. He's never demonstrated himself to be any less legally competent than your run of the mill hobo. Pretty sure he'd sooner go homeless than end up a ward of the state.

lol calm down

Does Barb even have enough money for a funeral and casket? I know she has a tombstone next to Bob. Fellow Kiwi Farm members should attend her funeral if she has one.

I thought it was a shared locker for their urns.

Chris Chan was hella joking when he said 14 branchland was an anchor. He was bluffing like a mother fucker if he ever pretended like he wanted to move out. He never will. I’m actually surprised that I am more intelligent than Marvin now. But the facts are the facts.

Do you think Chris still misses Richmond? or is there any other place in the world he would like to move in?

Some setsy girls place where she earns all the money and cooks all the food and gives him all the china and all he has to do is play with Lego, fuck about with Sonic shit and be a super sassy Lesbian.

What makes you think this is the case?

I think Chris is most attracted to where ever he can find large crowds of people. Chris does better with ten low intensity social interactions than one intense social interaction.

He basically would like to live near places where he can have big social events as frequently as possible. Basically like magfest or bronycon lite situations.

When has he lifted a finger to move out?
Barb's still alive.

Edit: Well, and more specifically, any tampering with Barb's living situation causes her to lose her shit and threaten suicide. Whether that's messing with the hoard or him traveling too far from her.

I think Chris isn't as attached to Virginia as he used to be and his standards for a home are low enough that he'd have some flexibility moving closer to (or into) a major city, even out of state. Really the barrier for him is money, effort and Barb but once she's gone two of those things won't be a problem.
