I made Japanese curry with Vermont curry blocks medium heat.
It's thin cut beef, shrimp, onion, sweet potato, zucchini. The liquid base is 3 cups water with a teaspoon of beef bouillon and a splash of sake.
Garnished with a bit of green onion. Served with jasmine rice.
Very delicious can't wait to make it again.

Made a test batch of this all butter pie crust dough, and ending up having enough to make chicken pot pie and lemon meringue pie!

Ribeye with s/p seared on cast iron grill (butter). Sides: Roasted new yellow potatoes and fresh zucchini from garden.

chopped up an onion, a pack of bacon, a can of mushrooms, cooked that for a while, then something came up, and I had some other food instead, came back to it the next day throwing in the remnants of a costco chicken, paprika, some spicy stuff, cooked the shit out of it
good stuff

It is meringue with chocolate chips and ground almonds. Tastes surprisingly good, but next time I will make them smaller.

Pork tenderloin. Dijon, brown sugar, rosemary blend to coat it and then wrapped in bacon. You have to wrap it and sear it once it's wrapped and then you put it in the oven at 425 for 20 minutes. I like to cook my pork to about 140 because it will continue cooking and get it up there to about 145-150, I like it a little pink in the center. Fuck the recommendations. Also nice roasted potatoes. Olive oil, salt pepper and garlic. Very simple. Oh, and a little pan sauce using the juices from the pork, red wine, beef broth, onions and mushrooms. Very nice.

I made chili.con carne, and it had kidney beans and tomatoes, specifically to anger @AnOminous. I used minced beef and minced beef heart: the heart was incredibly lean and browned very quickly: it tasted like any other beef cut.

You made something but it wasn't actually chili.

Also you shouldn't do food just to anger someone because that means something coming out of your butthole is going to be accompanied by the thought that this thing coming out of your butthole is formed by me. I control your butthole.

That's pretty cool actually.

Making some Sriracha hot wings now so my dinner will be nothing but a huge bowl of hot wings. Well, plus a side of some olives and jalapenos. Totally a healthy balanced meal.

I make this stuff fairly regularly when I'm craving chicken but am too lazy to deep fry.

Posted the 'recipe' in fat Jack's thread a while ago if anyone wants to try it.

  • Coat wings in corn starch a bit of salt a bit of pepper and leave aside until ready to cook
  • Toss into a wok. You can brown and then Cook in an oven I guess but I am lazy.
  • After initial Browning add a little water to the wok, cover with a lid and Cook down. Should take 10 to 15 min for water to evaporate and wings to fully Cook through.
  • When water is pretty much gone, add generous amount of sriracha and toss in the wok. Cook down to desired consistency. About another 5 min.
Enjoy delicious fall off the bone hot wings. If you have guests sprinkle on some sesame seeds and chopped scallions for presentation.
