Another kilogram Black Angus roast, just put it in the fridge slathered in some garlic and herb marinade. We'll see how many more hours I'll be up, might cook it today, might leave it off until tomorrow.
 
My favorite recipe right now is a slow cooked Mississippi pot roast. Chuck roast, veggies, half a stick of butter, a few pepperoncinis and a packet each of Ranch powder and au jus powder, put it in a slow cooker for 8 hours.
 
Pancakes. But I don't think I like Mrs Butterworth's. Is that just cake batter in a pancake box? Good lord is that stuff sweet. I think I will stick with Aunt Jemima even though it's more expensive. That woman knows her pancakes.

You should really try making them homemade. It's not much harder than using a mix, and you probably have all of the ingredients already.
 
asking seriously, is there any good recipe for puff pancakes with real butter as ingredient ?

And it came out pretty good. My favorite Indian restaurant closed, and the place that replaced it sucked, so I decided to try this brand. It had a bit more to it than just “add sauce and wait” but following the recipe had the chicken come out nice and tender.
 
It surprises me how easy jam is to make. You really don't need pectin if you're patient enough. A while ago, I made Rainier cherry jam with red wine and lemon juice. It turned out pretty good, though the wine overpowered every other element. I made strawberry jam the other day with lime mineral water added for the heck of it and lemon juice, but it came out tasting mostly of plain strawberry. Still good tho. Would definitely up the lime/lemon content.
 
Today I made some sage and onion stuffing balls using the M&S mix we got a couple of weeks ago and holy shit they ended up being amazing. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the flavours were a perfect balance of sage, onion and butter! Definitely gonna make some more next year!
 
Made a makeshift lasagna out of extra bolognese with sausage, some leftover cannelloni noodles that weren't suitable for stuffing, and some parmesan and mozzarella cheese. It was actually really good, though the lack of ricotta certainly diminished the attempt.

downed along with a cup of tea, it was bloody lovely.
 
I rarely cook anything particularly nice at home because it just feels like work. I'm happy with how this turned out though.
Everything is done from scratch aside from the pasta. I'd rather go hungry than use sauce from a jar.

I made a version of this except with caramelized onion, jalapeno, sliced olives, garlic, cheese and rye bread. I made enough for 2 weeks worth of dinner meat portions.
