Just got some bourbon smoked paprika from momma basso, oh lordy I'm addicted to it. Did that colemans (dry) mustard onion powder and garlic salt on a pork roast.

I use this bourbon smoked paprika myself.

Fried (I don't have a grill) tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, red onions and bell peppers with too much oregano, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and basil leaves. Tastes pretty good so who gives a fuck.

Crispy Pork Belly. My local Asian market had a special and I bought like $50 worth because my brother and his kids came over to watch football. I had like 8 and over filled my wire rack.

I used a different method. I boiled it first, then did a dry rub, and then washed off the dry rub. Basically I let the pork sit in my fridge for about half a day with the dry rub and then a day without. Then I let it sit in Shaoxing wine and vinegar marinade on the fatty part for about and hour before salt packing and roasting.

Was good will try again.

SAARS

I did the needful and made chicken curry the last 3 days. Plan on doing it today again. I redeemed body smell that smells like curry, is this what indian people smell like?

Made myself some scuffed as all hell Tamago Sushi just now (i.e. sushi rice with those rolled weeb omlettes sliced up and put on top) and I have a horrible feeling it was good enough and easy enough to become a basic staple for me going forwards.

Just made a pepper and egg sandwich, it's instantly one of my favorites. Just a bell pepper, some onion, shredded cheese and whatever seasoning you like (garlic powder, black pepper and a hint of Everglades Seasoning for me), plop it on a hoagie and you're set. Italians know their sandwiches.

Muscadine grape hull pie. 6 out of 10. Tastes delicious, looks like baby first fruit pie (it was). Now I just have wait till next year to try again.

My mum is visiting on Tuesday, next week. I want to make Eggs Royale for her.
I think my poached eggs might be good enough.

Edit: this picture looks yellow
and weird. Sorry.

Got some of the "st louis" style pork ribs the kroger the next town over does sometimes since i was in the area. When i got home I had some and shit was seriously undercooked. It was cooked fully, but the fat hadnt rendered, the meat didnt come off the bone, and the cartildge at the end of the rib wasnt chewable. I put them in the crock pot for a couple of hours with famous dave's, and now theyre sufficiently cooked. It was honestly good but now I know better than to buy and eat it immediately, ill save that for their rotissere chickens.

I've had those (not fresh cooked, but cold and on heavy discount). Noticed they didn't remove the membrane which I always do for the 3-2-1 smoker method.

I put a thin layer of spicy bbq on one rack, left the other alone, wrapped them in foil and baked them for a half hour. They definitely weren't fall off the bone like a 5-6 hour "low and slow" cook gets you, but I think the wrap + sauce did an ok job for minimal time/effort.

And thats the key ig with store bought, the minimal effort. Most days when I come home from work ill just crack open some rotissere chicken and eat it cold with ketchup/bbq. Idk if its autism or what but thats how I like it

My diagnosis is Sauce Tardation. Lots of ways to mix things up with minimal effort. Chili sauce, honey mustard, tangy Carolina bbq if you're using basic brown style.

Shredded or chunked rotisserie chicken in a 3 minute ramen bowl (you can cook a fried egg while the noodles cook), or in tacos/nachos. Or grab one of those bags of cheese-stuffed ravioli/tortellini and whatever sauce looks appealing and make chicken pasta.

Not removing membrane is unforgivable. And on top of that it's not even hard to do. Just use a butterknife under the membrane to lift it up enough to grasp in a couple places, and use a paper towel to grab it and lift it up by hand. I'm not at the level where I can just do it in one go every time, but it's usually twice at most.

Local supermarket had tomatoes and pears on sale, so i made kompot (the russian drink kind) which i left covered outside to cool since its finally nice weather.

I also made some sketty sauce. I had a can of anchovies around so the flavor is good, i also put red wine, and lots of garlic, with some generic italian seasoning, after that i made breakfast with some mushrooms that were fixing to go out and the rest of the anchovies in a pan of scrambled eggs.

Went to my inlaws and some how despite all the memes, they let me cook despite them ALL being dagos. That whole Manga or what ever..

I made some killer eggplant parm, I cut it like paper thin to mix it up. Good breading super fast light fry and good mozz. My FIL is a south Philly guy and said it wasn't like what he grew up with but more like when they visited Italy. My heart skipped a beat. Was quite the honor.

Made pancakes and bacon. Theyre so easy to make. I normally stay away from baking and stuff using batter because it always seems like a messy pain in the arse.

Going down a rabbit hole looking at recipes for savoury pancakes, crepes and blintzes now.
