It's basically kind of an alternate version of the ROTK games. Biggest plus compared to those though is that there's enough randomization to actually make it interesting to play repeatedly. For instance, in the ROTK games married characters will only have kids that are either in the novels, historical, or ones you created in the editor. In this, they'll have procedurally generated kids.

Breath of the Wild on PC via Cemu.
It barely works on my machine: Cemu is often freezing during "compiling shaders", I can't get more than 15-20 FPS, the cinematic cutscenes are broken... it's a miracle that I can even launch it. But, damn, it's a good game.
The motion sensor shrines are ass, though, good thing I have an Android phone to get through them.

Before that, I was hopelessly addicted to Stellaris with latest DLC (Ancient Relics) - who knew space archaeology was so fun? Too bad the endgame lag is unbearable.

Return of the Obra Dinn. 2nd time around because I still didn't get the entire plot on the first go, kinda guessed in a few spots.

Goddamn is this game fun. It's a mystery detective game where you uncover the story behind an abandoned ship by the bodies that have been left behind. And given that you have to determine the names and deaths of every person on board, it's a hell of a lot harder than you'd think.
Yeah, that game was superb, even though I couldn't finish it without a guide myself. When I started out, I thought it was about a standard ship mutiny. Then kraken happened, but I thought "Hey, they got unlucky there". And then this music started playing...

I just deleted Destiny 2 out of utter frustration. I'd put up with a lot since Destiny 1 but this shit just isn't fun anymore.
For context see: Solstice Armor Grind.

It's so bad I actually considered replaying Mass Effect Andromeda to scratch my space-shooter itch (till Borderlands 3 anyway) than to even bother with Destiny 2 anymore.

@Jaimas, get in here, you'll love this.

I just tried Metal Wolf Chaos XD, and holy shit, I had a BLAST "Meching America Great Again".

Still has the gloriously cheesy Engrish dub from the original Xbox version, graphics are basically upscaled and smoothed for 4K, but it still looks great with that in mind.

Music is a tad muffled, but they basically are reading the music from the original Xbox files, and it's not too noticable unless you're an aural autist.

Game is recommended for an Xbox pad, but quite playable on keyboard. Also, master the stomp attack, saves you a ton of ammo and it's really easy to demolish most foes by spamming the crap out of it.

I do recommend getting used to the aiming and weapon switching, especially if you play on keyboard/mouse. Game stability is excellent, scales well to any PC that meets requirements.

Finally, this game is silly as hell, and it knows it. It's a corny (in a good way) satire of mecha arcade action meets 80's hotblooded action with the most badass leader who ever sat in the Oval Office being a one man army and dropping hilarious one liners while his secretary Jodie cheers him on as mission control and being way too peppy about watching her boss blow shit up and free America from the evil vice president who is such a cheesy villain and has the most amusing evil laugh ever.

tl;dr: This is American Patriotism, as a mecha fan, I can TOTALLY get behind.

In Dragon Quest Builders 2, a thing happens where some dipshit brings a ship to your island to invade. The ship is in fucking awful shape and is basically in pieces when it arrives. After murdering his ass, I took the ship over, refurbished it, and gave it a few appropriate modifications, including a new sail, which made for one hell of a screenshot.

Noted. It's going on my wishlist. :D

'Mech America Great Again'. God bless Devolver Digital and FromSoft, you maniacs. :)

I've been playing Bloodstained.

As a huge fan of the old "Metroidvanias" it's fucking fantastic, it feels just like old times.

The only disappointment though is the soundtrack, it's not bad but it's not nearly as good as Symphony, Aria and Lament (my 3 fav soundtracks), I was expecting way better, it's a shame because they absolutely nailed everything else about the game.

This is right up there with Thimbleweed Park for Kickstarter success stories.

Was playing Stellaris with Starnet AI. I often install all these "must have" mods but also often found they don't change really a lot and are usually overrated.

Then my AI neighbor declared war out of nowhere, zerg rushed my border defenses and put a big fleet in orbit of a colony of mine, complete with troop transports. He then sent me a peace offering in which I had to give away one of my border systems. I quickly did.

That was awesome and I can't even remember the last time an AI got me so out of nowhere. Will always have a fleet ready from now on. game still has a lot of problems though.

Vermintide 2 after the 2.0 patch. Holy fucking shit, they fucked it up.
Kruber's entire skilltree was revised and now exclusively revolves around Stagger. Formerly, you could build Kruber either around damage reduction or around blocking and stamina, now all you have is either a new and awkward stagger mechanic or shit skills that are entirely pointless.
In order to stagger an enemy reliably, you need to pick a weapon with the "Crowd Control" trait and 90% of those suck ass. The only viable one seems to be the Mace and Shield.
The patch also introduces skills that actually nerf you when you pick them. Kruber has a damage reduction aura for his allies. You can choose a skill that takes away that aura in exchange for 10% more power score, which tops out at 300 on veteran anyway, so if I see things right, I'm looking at 30 more power (if that bonus even allows me to go above 300) but in exchange, my party gets more damage. Amazing. I become less useful for the team and I don't even know if the supposed bonus actually can exceed the top limit.
