Reinstalled VtM: Bloodlines and doing a Nosferatu run. Trying to get excited for the sequel in the works, but I don't think that's gonna happen based on what I've read.

You should grab some of the mods. Nothing like spicing up a game.

I played Tapper today

This game:

Except it was Root Beer Tapper because alcohol, lol

I'm kinda surprised it's not more widely beloved, it's really fun and satisfying

Etrian Odyssey on my phone's DS emulator.

Pretty fun first person dungeon crawler that has that oldschool "no bullshitting around, we're gonna fuck you royally" difficulty. Kinda reminds me of Eye of the Beholder.

Did a few things, Made a Japanese PSN account and tried out demos of Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal and Disaster Report 4. I enjoyed them, though DR4 being a dialogue heavy and me not knowing glorious Nippon hampered the experience. Hooked up the DS4 and got some time in Mega Man Legends 2 and Sonic Heroes.

working on my first world conquest in Imperator rome.

Katana ZERO, released like a week ago, really loved the game. Weeb hotline miami is the short way to describe it.

Sword and Fairy 6. Weird Chinese RPG that pretty well takes it's battle system from Final Fantasy 13. The whole thing is a technical mess. Looks like a PS2 game, awful frame rate, subtitles sometimes disappear too fast or are hard to read against the background, grammar errors, forgetting to change tutorial directions from PC controls to PS4. The translation outside of the intro movie is surprisingly good. I'm willing to overlook all that stuff though because the ancient Chinese wuxia setting is too cool. Also enjoyed the other game the company had translated to English, though that one was far more sound technically.

Finding myself replaying Final Fantasy VII AGAIN for like the 50th time since the early 2000s when I first played it, pretty much just because there's a new mod, called remako, which successfully upscales all of the pre rendered backgrounds by a significant amount so that they look sharper and more detailed than ever before.

Apparently it was done with some kind of AI but I don't know much about that at the moment. What I do know is that it looks really good, especially considering it's a beta release. Noticing small details in the backgrounds that I never noticed before due to the games original low resolution making the games look kinda blurry.

I don't usually like the Final Fantasy VII mods, for example when they replace the original field models with more realistically proportioned ones the animation and scaling relative to the background looks weird and I don't like it when they try to shoehorn in a bunch of Advent Children assets, but this mod seems really cool so far and more of an enhancement to the original rather than taking away from it.

Also I will say that the mod that removes those stupid looking gaping black hole mouths from the characters in the PC version is also a godsend too.

Jeanne D'arc

It's an interesting, but fun turn based strategy game. Amused that Gilles de Rais is one of the most honorable and noble characters you can get, when in reality he was a child rapist/killer. I'm enjoying my first playthrough so far, though.

I am fucking addicted to Warframe. It's nice and mindless and the prime frames are so pretty and you feel so accomplished when you get all the pieces or trade for plat to buy pieces that you don't have. You basically make your own goals and objectives. You don't have to spend a dime if you get into the trading game. Eventually you'll find someone wanting a mod you don't need and get massive plat. I sold a mod for 170 which is basically 16 weapon slots or about 6 warframe slots. And that is from 1 trade. (Plat is the currency you buy).

My only gripe is you need plat to expand your inventory, but if you farm right and use the market, you can easily just trade for plat.

The other downside is that you've got 6 years of content and it can be overwhelming to new players.

My advice for noobs is find a guild asap. The community (outside of fucking region chat, avoid that like cancer) is really tolerant andnice. Find a guild and they'll help you out and give you lots of advice.

The Lore is basically Dark Souls like, leaving lots to the imagination.

I don't know why this mod doesn't get more attention. The results look so good, it's like putting on glasses for the first time. There are so many 90's games that could benefit from the treatment.

I'd definitely replay Parasite Eve and Resident Evil if they got the same treatment. I hear there's one for Final Fantasy VIII in the works and that IX has a pretty decent one already out, but I haven't played it yet. From the screenshots I've seen it looks good.

That was his reputation at the time. It's unknown whether he was just covering really well or whether he just completely lost his shit when she died.

Borderlands 2 in preparation for 3, not sure if I should go for the DLCs or True Vault Hunter Mode first.
