I gave Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on Wii a try last night.

I started on normal difficulty and got two game overs in the very first battle. Do pre-Awakening Fire Emblem fans just savescum their asses off?

I gave Dead or Alive 6 a try, not sure if I want to pay the obscene amounts of money Koei Temco wants to own it, but it does have one noticeable improvement over DOA5.

I really wanted to like Mila in DOA5, but aside from grapple style moves, she kinda sucked for everything else, especially combos. That has been fixed quite a bit in 6.

Decided to get into Kingdom Hearts again. Only really played the original way back when it came out so decided to pick up the PS4 compilation. Chain of Memories is a real slog. Beat the main game and about halfway through the second character's. Luckily it's much shorter and faster. Can't wait to move on from this one.

Combat has indeed improved but in terms of khantent and fanservice I do consider at the moment of me writing this post Dead or Alive 5: Last Round a way superior game.

>tfw still no Momiji
Back to maining Ayane it is...

Yakuza Kiwami.

Yakuza 0 was a real blast. The music, the story, the world and all that jazz were fantastic, hope the remake of the first game lives up to it's prequel.

Dawn of Man. A stone age resource management civilization builder. Reminds me a little bit of Banished, which I also really enjoy. It's fun watching my paleolithic cavemen (of the tribe of GWAR) try to survive run-ins with cave lions.

Replayed Postal 2 and now messing around with mods.

This game is so stupid and raunchy and it knows it. And I love it for that.

Beat Danganronpa V3 finally recently and the ending was fucking wild. It's easily the best ending out of the three games. Now I am just playing Nuclear Throne because starting another story-heavy game so soon afterwards would tire me out  Eyes is the best character

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance for the first time, while drinking Four Loko. It's a fun fuckin' ride and I'm surprised I'm still able to use the keyboard at this point.

My foray into Game Pass continues with Just Cause 3.

A bit repetitive and unoptimized, but still having fun with it, more than I did with 2 anyway.

I just picked up Diablo 1 since it dropped on GOG the other day. I've never really played Diablo before, but I'm really enjoying it. It's got such a unique and dark atmosphere.

I've also been playing DMC5, which is an absolute blast.

Yakuza 0 and Kiwami on PC. Fucking hell did they manage to ruin boss fights and somehow kiwami feels better than 0?

Like, I finished 0 with barely any upgrades because you don't get the real estate/cabaret parts of the game til you're 3/4 in. Yet, I could spam combos and break through guards on even the strongest bosses, disregarding the fact they also behave like my next point:

Bosses fucking suck. I thought the agile stance was meant to be a boss killer: Dodge around like the souls of mafia games, stunlock them, learn from reactions and shit. Nope. They stagger every single hit, even from your hardest hitting stance, so it's basically just spamming buttons and chugging HP concoctions like no tomorrow. Yet, some bosses feel way easier than these, and actually offer some engaging gameplay, but the big bad story guys are just fucking cancer to play against.

Anyway, Kiwami is released for PC, I play it a lot, engage in all parts of it, have a good time. Go back to 0 and realize that it feels inferior in every way? It was made from scratch as opposed to Kiwami being an remaster/upgrade to Yakuza 1, yet falls short in so many ways. I really do love the rural japan games (a genre consisting of literally just yakua and shenmue), but holy shit do they make me hate the game with boss fights.

It's Bethesda difficulty. No new mechanics, no new nothing, they just take more hits. It's not engaging. That said, RC racing is fun.

Picking at both Kingdom Hearts II and West of Loathing. WoL is bringing me back to being a teenager and playing Kingdom of Loathing.

Been playing Kenshi for most of my week. After getting a hang of how the game plays, I manage to make some progress but I still got a long ways to go if I wanted to make a team that can either raid cities or build their own outpost.

At a friend's behest I picked up the Sly Cooper Collection despite never playing this series. Surprisingly still holds up. Just finished the first game, and halfway into the second one. Band of Thieves is such a huge improvement it's hard to believe it was originally on the same console.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. It's a sidescroller heavily inspired by the early Castlevania games.
I'm honestly having a ton of fun with it, Castlevania is one of my all time favorite series.
