I'm doing that and also facing the Organization again. I love the Lingering Will fight, its a fight where its both challenging and fun at the same time.

Not to mention his theme, Rage Awakened, is fucking tight. Makes me think of his first appearance in Birth By Sleep, because it's like a slightly incomplete version of Rage Awakened from that game.

I've been playing the PS1 version of Clock Tower as well as Pokemon White (hunting for a shiny Yamask). I've got to say that even though Clock Tower received the same treatment as Resident Evil did when it came over to the west, it still managed to spook me at some points. It's not as good as the SNES game, but I can see why people like it.

Pretty fun mod of a game I never actually played the original of, and they seem to have recently added the ability to play as Sora. Watching this for the possibility that they add Riku. AUGH YEAH

Being chased by a deformed homicidal 9-year-old with hedge clippers, that's more scary than zombies any day.

I'm playing Muramasa on my new Vita Dun gave me as an early Christmas/birthday/anniversary present. I must say, I love the Eastern Fantasy setting and the display on the Vita is stunning, it's so clear.

I'm just going to say I am very picky when it comes to action RPGs

Been playing Ys 1 today. Managed to hit the level cap (level 10) despite playing 2-3 hours of the game. I also surprised myself in one hitting the first boss at level 7.

I'm about to have a go in Quakeworld.

EDIT: Frogbots sure played Kick-the-Autistic, 10 minute round, 4 player free-for-all on bloodrun, ended 39-7. The only map I kick their asses on is DM5, because they just stay in the water and you can spam grenades at them or just grab the lightning gun and pentagram, jump in, and zap to the EXTREME!

I've been playing a fuckload of Shovel Knight. I beat it, and then right after beating it I immediately started playing it again. I swear, I could just play this game over and over and just not get sick of it, its so much fun. Hands down the best "retro" game I've ever played, and one of my favorite games in general. Everything about it is so charming too...

That and Smash Bros. for Wii U. I'm trying to get all the music in the game and my desired custom moves for characters.

I never played Mass Effect but I found it on my playstation's hard drive and have been giving it a go. It's a pretty good game. It would be very mediocre in a perfect world, but given it's peers I have to admit it's above average. I don't get all the comparisons to Fallout and Elder Scrolls, though. It's not a sandbox game like those, it's just a cover shooter with some (admittedly well implemented) RPG elements. If Mass Effect is a sandbox RPG then so is Final Fantasy X-2 because it's got the same method of "sandboxing" (drive around in a space ship picking railroad missions in any order).

Anyway I like the conversation trees and the interactions with the companions (although I'm pretty sure choosing dialogue options has zero effect a lot of the time since Sheppard tends to say something that's a compromise between all the options). I hate everything resembling gameplay. I turned the difficulty down to casual just to get the boring as fuck cover shooting and driving around in a space tank over as quickly as possible.

Mass Effect is basically what Final Fantasy style rail RPGs should be like.

I was really excited about getting to use the same save in multiple games when I first learned about it, but I heard the second game sucks and the third game has a shit ending so fuck that noise. I'm going to beat this one and pretend that's the end.

Playing on Hard/Yellow mode of DMC3 HD.

Kicking my ass so far, I gotta say. And I found myself getting pretty frustrated at times. However, pulling off a Stylish combo on a bunch of enemies and defeating certain bosses is certainly satisfying.

I've been playing Fable 3 and it has become really apparent how much they screwed up interactions with the villagers. Everyone in Bowerstone market hates me with a burning passion. My crime was I raised the prices of the local pawnshop. The only place that I raised prices. When I learned that everyone hated me I lowered the prices of all the stores and stopped making them pay rent. They still hate me and even though I became a benevolent king. They hate the king because one time he made the pawn shop more expensive even though he gave them free housing and lowered taxes and all that good stuff.
So if I want people to like me I have to interact with all these people one at a time so that I can do some sort of task for them so they can be neutral with me. Well I'm not doing that 30 or so times and that's not happening looks like I'm stuck with this mob of irrational hatred.

I heard the second game sucks
Where the hell did you hear this? Mass Effect 2 is generally very well-received. You should at least read up on it a little.

You could definitely go without 3. Of course, I'm biased, but I highly suggest giving 2 the benefit of the doubt.

To be fair, 2 has some detractors. Even myself I think the game is ever so slightly overrated and there were aspects of it that I didn't feel were as good as ME1, or aged particularly well.

It depends on who you talk to. It certainly isn't as polarizing as ME3 but it does have people that dislike it. Same with ME1.

Well obviously, I'm not saying it's perfect. Just that hate towards it is a rare sight, at least for me. 1 does seem to be the fan favorite though.

I actually agree with a great deal of what he says here, ME2's main plot was not that great taken as a whole.

I barely tolerate 1 as it is, like I said I hate the gameplay. What I've heard is there's more of the cover shooting and tank driving and less of the story elements in 2, and that they change this back in 3 but then shit directly into your mouth for the ending. Even if this wasn't the case I don't have it in me to slog through another game I can barely stand just for the conversation trees. The ratio of fun times to boring is way off on this one for me to start buying sequels.

Edit: If I beat 1 it'll be because I forced myself to, like reading a book you hate for class. Only I guess the book has candy hidden in it or something. It's not a perfect metaphor.

Correct.

The Mako (tank) is completely absent in both 2 and 3, so that's a bizarre claim. As for the story, I thought 2's was fine, but again, that's just me.

K, fair enough. Guess I misread your post.

I was a bit more optimistic in my first post. I've played further into the game now and have become more disillusioned.
