Skyrim SE

Seemed the ideal time and I haven't touched it since 2011 so that means no expansions and a fuckload of worthwhile mods. Took fucking days to get a stable modlist but fuck-me is it worth it - it's the definitive test if you've got a high-end pc to see if itu's up to snuff.

Holdfast: Nations at War

What other game lets you bayonet Frenchmen as a Freikorps musketeer while your flag bearer blasts Erika on voip?
Mount and Blade Warband Napoleonic Wars. Just minus the VOIP.

Yep, my regiment plays that too and I played it waaaaaay back when it was first a thing. I hope Holdfast implements cav as well as some other nations like Austria, Russia, and Spain.

Hydro Thunder: Hurricane.

When I was little I use to play the original in the arcade at the local movie theater while waiting for my movie to start, it's still enjoyable.

Dead By Daylight. Well technically i've been playing it for years but I have it loading on Steam as I type this. The community is pretty funny with how toxic and stupid it can be at times. Like in most multiplayer games people get butthurt when their same strategy doesn't work against every player.

A lot of Fallen London and Sunless Sea

I've played Sunless Seas countless times and I have a character in Fallen London that I haven't checked on in months. Sunless skies is a really good game as well and I can't wait for them to finish it.

Stardew Valley (almost done with Summer Year 3) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (about halfway through chapter 2, just got done with the drunken party/campfire singalong after Sean's return.)

Both are huge timesinks and both get better with every hour put into them. But I'm thinking my next game after Stardew will be a platformer or shooter. Open worlds and sandboxes just murder time I have increasingly less of, and to have two going at once...

I've been trying to get through Mother 3, but honestly I'm starting to wonder if it's worth finishing. The game's bosses are the most annoying in the series. Right now I'm at the first Masked Man fight and it's the third or fourth irritating boss in a row that I've had to fight, though most of that is because of the Pigmask fight that precedes it.

I keep hearing how good the story is, and it is the most cohesive in the series, but holy God the bosses are testing my patience.

I'm currently playing A Hat in Time. It's a very fun platformer and the game itself is so wholesome and cute.

Steam could smell the last $20 in my wallet this X-mas season, so they had a fucking winter sale. The bastards got me, but I got a bunch of souls-likes that I probly wont finish:
The Surge - Clunky, less fun, Souls knockoff set in the future.
Salt and Sanctuary - 2D platformer with grinding and stamina management.
Nioh - An actually decent Souls-like with a few of it's own original twists thrown in.

Binging on Rimworld as a time sink. All I can say is that I really wish my colony was better equipped. Close to finishing the last ends of research but still need to get more resources and equipment for building a ship, not to mention building more supplies in food (anything beneath 100 in any of the foods is a bad thing in my eyes, especially with 15 colonist).

I finished Steam World Dig on my 3DS which was a great surprise so I immediately went into Steam World Dig 2 which is a great sequel. Would recommend both.

C&C Generals: Zero Hour with the Rise of The Reds mod. Was playing as USA against some GLA opponent and they've built a SCUD Storm. Didn't need to worry about it because they, in their infinite wisdom, decided to build it... on some fucking train tracks. No joke. Every time it gets built, a train demolishes the building.

Dusted the old Wii off, and have been playing The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. An oldie, but a goodie.

Been thinking of getting a 3DS in the future. Is the New 3DS XL worth it, or should I just go for the 2DS XL?
