Wouldn't his big backrooms video count as one big undisclosed ad? It wasn't just fanboying, he had insider access, exclusive interviews with the director, treated to set tours, and whatever other expenses payed for by Kane/the studio when he visited the set and the premier.

Did he ever mention posting on tvtropes? An entire chunk of millennials and zoomers destroyed their brain on that site, thinking media is a collection of tropes rather than tropes being just repeated patterns. Leading to Wendigoon style inability to understand media and taking other people's opinion as gospel.

I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but this sounds about right. Modern writers forget that their readers are actually quite bright and can understand metaphor. Over explaining restricts the most powerful tool an author has, their reader's imagination.

So when somone points out that beyond surface level keyjangling it had nothing in common with the games he shortcircuits. Cause to him there could be nothing to resident evil beyond guns & zombies.

It's crazy that he is viewed as the lore & resarch guy. When he is the least spirtual person to ever exist.

He knows he can just ignore people right? Everytime he replies to someone he just comes off like an ignorant asshole.
It's as if he's insecure about liking shitty things or being outed as a tourist of the things he enjoys.

And yes. He'd have absolutely taken the money to shill the movie. He just didn't have time to record a 5-10 minute video telling you how it's the most accurate representation of the franchise ever put to film before dropping it and never bringing it up again like the S.T.A L.K.E.R flick.

Wendi has always been a larping faggot with Resident Evil, he hasn't even played the originals. He's a nu-fag fan who jumped on with the Remakes and FPS games (basically 90% of """fans""" you see on social media)
