It was painful just to watch. To make matters worse he had a friend there watching and egging him on.
His friends are with him now so it's a moot point. I'm not gonna walk up to some kid and tell him to use the sissy weights for his baby arms in front of his friends; either I'd get an earful of jiggaboo zoomer slang, or they'd spend the next month teasing him for it.

Does anyone else get irrationally upset by guys wearing jeans to the gym or is it just me.

There's some zesty-looking skinny melanated zoomer at my gym always wearing his extra baggy jeans. I always see him at the lat pulldown machine (with surprisingly good form).

Bless his heart.

thoughts on omega 3s (fish oils)?
For organ health and hormonal balance they are essential and no matter the gender or age group it should be included in your diet.

I don't take the supplements anymore as I have developed a gag reflex from chugging them before, now I get my omega 3 from sardines or mackarel as they are much cheaper than salmon and have richer omega 3 content per 100g.

They are objectively good for you, just get it cheap, it's like taking a multi-vitamin, it's one of those supplements that are a net positive with zero downsides.
There should be a list of these. Multi, fish oil, vit d, etc.

I usually fucking hate when people describe something as "a workout" because I'm used to people using it as an excuse to not do an actual workout but pressing out a bad wheel bearing without a hydraulic press is a fucking workout.

Just got brand new squat shoes and I was all excited to try them out. Was even going to try zerchers for the first time. My little gym bought the space next door and is expanding. Apparently they knocked out part of the the wall in between the spaces earlier and that required moving and partially disassembling the only squat rack.

I did leg presses in the shoes but it just wasn't the same.

did an amrap on my last set which puts me about 15 pounds ahead of my 1 rep max for deadlift, using a 1 rep max calculator. I dont put a ton of stock in them but I do sort of use it to measure progress. Its been forever since I actually did 1 rep maxes, so it feels good to finally be back in the gym and actually meeting/exceeding expectations. I had a nasty cold/flu for like two weeks in December and just now feel like I'm back to 100%.

Garage gym is coming along, finally bit the bullet and bought horse stall mats and some plate holder attachments. My OCD is triggering hard when I open the garage. I put it off for the longest time cause I like to keep the house as bare as possible but its been fun to work some upper body and presses in there on weekdays. The horse stall mats look like complete shit. Measurement wise, functionality wise, they're fine, but they have the worst texture out of all the ones I was hoping to get and just look like shit. Thankfully they seemed to have been airing out before I bought them and the horrible gas smell has already pretty much dissipated without me really doing anything.

Folks, still can't emphasize enough how beneficial I've found frequent calisthenics additions to training. I know I go on and on about picking up something heavy and carrying it around at least 3 times a week; sled pushes/pulls will also work for that.

Push harder this year. I'm going to. Next year in the spring I want to go back to Iceland and do this, just for me. If that ends up coming to pass I'll for sure let you all know how it went.

I encourage any of you to plan for something similar. If you commit to something with a definite deadline I think you'll see how much more you can do and still recover well.

Don't tell me what to do faggot.

Nah for real I'm pretty happy with where I'm at at least as far as upper body goes. The 1rm goals I set for myself a couple years ago when I got back into lifting are my work sets now. I do want to focus more on core and lower body, I'm noticing myself slipping into lordosis/APT from hauling these fat nuts around sitting too much and I'd like to fix that. But mostly I just want to get lean again and get back into trail running. I should also probably get more diversified in mobility work while I'm at it, I'm not getting any younger.

I'm going back and forth on trying an extended fast for lent, I think the longest I've ever done was ten days and I'd like to see how long I can go. But I don't want to lose my gains. So it goes.

Now I was thinking that maybe I was going to criticize the woman doing some weird jazzercise plyometrics in the gym today. But I thought about it for a sec and she showed up to the gym in the middle of the week instead of the weekend morning classes and she was off in the corner by herself and not in the middle of the gym by others. So instead I bring to you 2 pajeets doing trust fall style leaning into each other that had zero purpose and some dude who decided to practice his sparring with the worst form imaginable in the middle of the gym

Traveling for work, using the hotel gym, a negress and her entire brood came in and while she quietly got some cardio in on an elliptical the kids practiced their best rowdy running from the cops routines on all the treadmills.

Kinda funny to have noise canceling headphones on and quietly do rows by yourself and in the mirror is chaos incarnate.

Anyone got any cures for a pulled chest muscle? Shit sucks.
