Yeah, he apparently did a video that basically admitted that lower volume training than what the pencil necks had been recommending was good. Something like he did 10 heavier sets per muscle group per week for like 6 months and got better results. It would be just another one of his retarded “I did X for Y days and this is what happened!” videos, except for two things.I keep getting fed videos about Jeff Nippard and I don't get it. I guess people don't like the "science based" marketing. I guess he's changing up his routine?
First, he was part of the insane high volume crowd. Essentially Brad Schoenfeld did an awful study a few years ago that claimed you could get as good or better results using 40-50 sets per muscle group per week. And the rest of the evidence based crowd ran with it, sucking his dick and recommending that insane high volume to everyone. Nippard included. There was also some other drama, but it just appears like a huge about face by Nippard after years of other saying his volume recommendations were way too high.
Second, the above combines that with a lot of people already souring on him, and that’s what’s causing what you’re seeing.
It’s retarded, but so is a lot of YouTube fitness.
