Yeah I worry about this a lot too. There's a great independent gym right by me, but the owner is getting old and I'd be surprised if he's still running it in 10 years. Now that I don't live in the city there's a lot of 24 hour gyms around here, but none of them are literally two minutes away.I used to lift in a crossfit gym id go to late at night. tons of space, nicely organized, nice equipment and empty.
Now im at a chain gym with loud annoying music and a million people. its a little more difficult to relax and breathe and get heart rate down before next set.
I don't want a home setup because I'm antisocial enough already. People who want to talk at the gym constantly are gay and annoying but it's nice to go to a completely separate, dedicated place for lifting.
