>they cost about 100 bucks and soomers will pick them up because they love the ubisoft cock

gee i wonder why
These sales look like they're selling them wholesale. Like the game+DLC or just the game.

I get selling overpriced shit that extends a game's playtime for a half hour for double the price of the base game, but Ubisoft has sales far more often on their gold or ultimate editions while keeping the base game itself for normal price. Why not sell the base Far Cry 6 for $20 and the Gamer Edition for $50 instead of for $60 and $30 respectively? No wonder they're always on the verge of being bought out.

My favourite example of this is that Ghetto apartment building.
First time you go there- "There is no way I can just shoot my way in there"
4 hours of busywork later- You just shoot your way in
that was more for the mission where you help the other guy stealth his way in. watch dogs has a fuckload of neat concepts like that for missions.

i'm surprised no one is talking about mods, people modded in real time ray tracing for fucks sake. between that and modern day graphical mods, and living city basically giving you a lot of fun open world shit, its the only ubisoft game i can think of with mods or at least as many mods as this one has.

the multiplayer is extra FUN as well, honestly i accidentally beat watch dog 2's entire plot gates just by doing multiplayer.

Watch Dogs 2 is on Game Pass now. Maybe it's me but the FPS boost is causing vehicles to act more erratic.

I didn't play much Watch_Dogs multiplayer besides the invasions, but those were amazing. Super tight gameplay with how the shrinking circle gives you less and less room to deceive them/hide, and realistic feeling and scary stealth with doing things like slinking down in your car praying you won't be seen, or trying to walk around a corner and hope they don't scan their phone on you before you're out of sight.

Only other multiplayer that gave a feeling like it was Assassin's Creed.

I know this isn't going to happen for obvious reasons, but I think Watch Dogs would be a million times better if it was set in a dystopian future setting not unlike the meme below

,and had things like
  • Destructible environments
  • Meaningful changes to the world based on your actions (e.g. you see more and more people breaking the demanded norms as the powers that be start to lose control)
  • Multiple factions you can support over one another
  • Realistic and interesting politics without a clear X group is bad and X group is good narrative

As for the factions, I'd have kind of a corpo/government uni group be the primary antagonists with different realistic factions that don't like each other being either aligned with the protagonist or acting as rival counterculture groups based on the player's decisions (e.g. if you support the communist tankies too much, the libertarians and traditionalists will start acting against you). The core theme of the politics would be that the various groups share the same opinion that is "things have gone horribly wrong," but obviously disagree on why things have gone wrong, and have dramatically different views on how to actually fix things.

Bounty Hunter is an innovative, albeit intrusive, idea of seamless multiplayer. You invade one player's world if they cause shit and take them out for experience and cash. Works the other way around as well.

Watch Dogs had an ambush mission where Wu Tung Clan's CREAM would play in the background. One of the hardest, but iconic missions in the series yet.

i mean by that point in the game you have access to proximity mines and should have the grenade launcher, the game literally shows you where they spawn as well. also i think the point where you escape the sex slave auction is a much better place to use that song just because of how long that part is and how it fits with the story, its also a fuckload harder, and happens way earlier. for a good chunk of it you don't even have your weapons on you and there is no hacking that could help you.

its ironic that the company known for its stale open world games, basically are top tier at multiplayer. Rainbow 6 was a massive flop at launch and its been 7 years and its once of the better GaaS games. Watch dogs and AC both have amazing multiplayer, and with AC they've had multiple different top notch attempts. ACB, AC3, ACU are all different but are all replay worthy based just on that alone.

I’m willing to argue that Watch Dogs coming out in 2014 was the perfect time, since Aiden‘s character was also introduced the same way that Edward Snowden was introduced to the public after publicly exposing the NSA spying on you with help from the federal government.

It seems like 8 years ago, this could have been Generation Z’s Deus Ex, but instead they had to settle for Cyberpunk 2077.

Modern or future settings can work with watch dogs. The issue is that it seems to be based too much on the 2000s liberal viewpoint and not on truly and fully rejecting the establishment. In watch dogs 2 you help out a tranny politician and in watch dogs leigon our only enemies where a group of right wing populous PMCs and not the entire government itself.

Watch Dogs 2 also had basically "hack the world by being an attention whore online" mechanics. Honestly, I'd probably throw in Watch Dogs 2 as a parody game within the game if I were going to try something like a dystopian future where you have to use hacking skills to fight back.

Watch dogs 2s violence felt alot more real because of how much it tried to represent 2010s culture. This wasn't some far off setting, this is the real world.

they were kinda going in that direction in 1, before they zoomer-fied it with 2. legion was such a flop I don't even know what it's about now after they had to retool it banking on MUH BREXIT and then MUH ANTIFA BLM.
ironically they proceeded to shove the whole "imagine google headed by elon musk but bad" into ghost recon in exchange.

ubisoft is all kinds of fucked, guess that what happens when you drink the SJW koolaid. kinda said when considering what they could do with the tech they got...

I was kind of hoping Ubisoft was going to try and pick up on the whole outlandish "political fiction" now that there's not going to be any more real MGS games, but that's certainly not going to happen now.
