Local Berniecrats is one of the most no-money DIY of the Bernie endorsement groups. They are known for endorsing extreme fringe candidates and people who have a very low chance of winning, but who will answer a very exacting questionnaire and basically sign a pledge saying they will vote basically in lockstep with Bernie forever and ever.
I guess I kinda got a kick out of making Brianna pledge to do that without even reading it lol.
20% or so of their candidates win, but they are scrappy and I like them. But nobody thinks they are some kind of guru or anything.
I do think she is the least of three evils in this situation. I'd vote for the idiot who will vote for single payer to get popularity over the two idiots who won't. If a real progressive ran against her, at this point I'd campaign for them though.
And I am proud of my hard work, which I think is worth bragging about. Plus I think Bill Cimbrelo is much more progressive than his opponent, and I helped him get his too.
Plus there's the added fun that it made Brianna have to pretend she likes me while gritting her teeth, lol.
Plus if she did get elected and didn't do Berniecrat things, as we all theorize she probably wouldn't, the questionnaire would be a fun thing to hold over her head and point to

The only other organization that endorsed her is VoteProChoice, who will endorse anybody they believe will vote pro choice. Which Brianna probably will, whatever else one thinks of her.
And Sam Hammar's endorsement was very carefully worded, saying something like "I want women to run for office, such as Brianna Wu."
They were not deluded. I talked to a guy from Local Berniecrats and he said they read the lolcow wiki and the kiwifarms thread, and they argued about her for months, and decided to endorse her because her opponents never reached out to them, and they think her opponents "suck". Which I agree with them on. But they warned me about Brianna, same as DSA did. I should have listened way back then and saved myself a whole bunch of work for back pay that never materialized :/
Lol I didn't sign up any new anybody. If she gets 20% of the vote instead of 18% that hurts no one. And maybe it helps Stephen Lynch decide to rethink his DINO BS one iota maybe.
But I definitely did not and would not, at this point, in any way recommend anybody *work* for Brianna. My buddy from Weymouth knows the score on that one, and he spreads the word with my Bernie peeps in that regard. Big time. And I am glad I warned him beforehand, even though he didn't listen right away.
