@W person cow any predictions on what the vote percentages for each candidate will be a week from Tuesday?
I have no reliable polling data. But educated guess?
Lynch 65%
Wu 22%
Voehl 13%
I like to think that I got Brianna's name out there as the progressive in the race a fair bit, and a lot of people want to protest the establishment this year, whether they're progressive or not. And believe me or not, I think Brianna really did do the most work out of 3 lazy candidates.
The current progressive wave will probably carry her further than expected by y'all, but less far than expected by her. If she had campaigned more seriously, or treated anyone with respect, I think she could have got 40% or more.
I could be way off though, just a semi educated guess.
My predictions for the other She Geeks Out candidates?
Ayanna 54%
Capuano (incumbent opponent) 46%
...
Sam Hammar 49%
Jason Lewis (incumbent opponent) 51%
@W person cow did you ever suggest to Brianna to conduct polling? Why didn’t she?
Polling requires a campaign infrastructure.
But I did try to give her a free poll that I got from my DC buddies about what different progressive issues people support in the district.
She saw that low cost prescription drugs was #1 at over 90% and declared that "boring"
Saw that increased cybersecurity was near the bottom at like 25%
Saw that her next favorite issue of the moment, abolishing private prisons, was only 54%
Was annoyed by the poll, and didn't read the rest of it.
There were over 20 issues on there that over 80% of people in the district, across all parties and independent, were in favor of.
But hey, who cares, right?
