My opinion of Warren has definitely undergone a 180 since he got fired from John's campaign. He is totally impervious to facts of any kind, even those directly related to his own health and safety. Textbook useful idiot...except not terribly useful.

He came here and people thought he was a scamp who would spill some dirt on John accidentally, but remember he's a 40 year old man, not a teenager even if he writes like one. I would say Gamergate was some weird internet tempest in a teapot from 2014 that was really boring, I wasn't interested in, and had little if anything to do with the progressive movement. I agree video games can be sexist and MRAs can be douches but beyond that, who cares. Old news.

Well I'm in favor of feminism in general. But I disagree with Brianna that Gamergate is some big thing or that we should shut down the internet, lol. There's rather a lot we don't see eye to eye on anymore. There was a fair bit even in the beginning I disagreed with, but more that I didn't disagree with. But things reached critical mass eventually.

For federal campaigns it seems pretty frequent, from what I've come across? But I've only been in contact with a few so far, so I can't tell what the broad trend is.
