Warlockracy - Potatozone game reviewer, has good Fallout 2 and Morrowind mod reviews, why is there no discussion about him?

No, it wouldn't be good. Again, this was made by guys who only did concept art for browser games, their original "pitch" for this game made it seem like a mobile phone game. Hell, even their historical accuracy was put into question, also the budget they were given was a rather big amount and they did JACK FUCKING SHIT for 2 years, really all they did was buy a bunch of assets from the Unreal store, and stick this shit all together to make it seem like they had a game.

Now that's some good content. A total trashfire that's funded by the government and is a ripoff of the same games that is arguably subverting the youth.

At the best case it's content bloat by a studio that didn't know how to handle it, but I like the idea they spent the entire budget on assets to impress any officials coming by and ignored making actual gameplay.

He did allude to it with unlocking the MG+ class. But the game is bad enough with what he told about, mentioning that would just be beating a dead horse.
 
Tired Cat it's funny how you mention that he uses Russian instead of Soviet, I remember in a previous video he specifically mentioned how people of the USSR get really angry when you refer to them all as Russians, so the thats an odd mistake to make.
Had anyone here played Vapire Masquerade Bloodlines? If trying to slog my way through it, I really like the actually interesting dialogue trees and hub levels, buts its such a godamn technical nightmare. Yes I'm playing with some patch mod dont exactly recall which

It's not a mistake, it's just this jackhole now tries to pretend "See, dem Russkies taking credit for all the stuff the USSR did" by applying it to all Russian people, when in reality this shit is usually spouted by Russian politians, whom everyone usually mocks for this BS all the time.

Wesp5's patch has two basic options: a "basic" patch that reportedly just fixes shit and an "extended" patch that adds shit. Many hundreds of hours of nerd sperg rage have been wasted to discuss if Wesp's patch changes too much, not enough, or whatever. The basic patch is a decent addition and the game runs fine with it. It has great atmosphere, mediocre combat and the endgame is a bit of a mess. Play it nigger. It's good.

Also, if I remember my Soviet studies right, it was considered extremely bad etiquette to call national accomplishments or the like "Russian" in the Union. Even Khrushchev corrected himself at times and used "Soviet", because the thing is to be a Union of Peoples you see. In the 90ies the Rooskies tried to co-opt the Soviet legacy and everyone else was more than happy to let them do it.

Also, I chanced upon this Warlockracy dude .... are all his reviews extremely slow, boring summarized LPs with little original content and analysis? I mean, I've rarely see a man taking a hour and half about Knights of the Old Republic II and saying nothing interesting whatsoever.

I'm enjoying it alot so far, fairly early in I think, just got last the spooky hotel and some doctor in a basement who weilds a leg I think. The KOTOR video wasn't too bad, it even touches on something I still think about somewhat often in daily life. Atton playing Pazzak in his head is a good metaphor for just distracting yourself when doing something unpleasant by overloading your mind with mundane tasks

Well, sort off because in the 90's former Eastern Block countries were all busy sucking some Western cock, so they tried to "distance" themselves from the Soviet legacy. Now, ofcourse there were people who spoke against this (and still are to this day), but they're sadly small numbers.

I mean, I think aside from me, there are people who have issues with this dude. Mostly it boils down to his constant need to sperg about Russian politics/Russian people whenever games or mods from Russia are involved. Outside of those, his videos are usually very boiler plate and clearly lifted from people who already talked about these games, but since he's doing this for a Western audience, it comes off as brand new.

The tragedy of this game is that it is so unfinished that the last third can't even be saved by the restoration patch. What are your technical problems? I replayed it last year and can't think of any tech hiccups except the sound and sound effects being to loud or off at times. Wesp's current patch made it run very smoothly for me.

I have been playing the game with it since one of its earliest iterations (i think i only played the game without it once) and i don't get the beef with people complaining about too much new/restored content. Like, at all. It's as retarded as the people who say "Don't pick Malk for a first playthrough", i did and it's still the best clan regarding dialogue choices, and i don't mean the Fishmalk stuff.

By tech problems I mean just the nature of the somewhat burdsome controls, combat feels like out of an N64 game, I haven't run into very many glitches, just difficult to adjust to a game like this after so many years

Ah alright. Yeah, the combat is not where this game shines and yes, it's 20 years old so the controls can be a bit difficult to adjust to if you are more used to modern games, it's not much different than any first-person game of its era though. It's still worth a play for any cRPG fan, even in its at times catastrophically unfinished state, next to Shadowrun Hong Kong the best and most faithful-to-the-lore TTRPG adaption. Hope you installed the sewer shortcut when patching the game.

Its the unlucky combination of him politisperging a bit too much in a way too obviously intended to appeal to his western audience and the topic he wrapped it around being a walkthrough of a boring game. I was actually looking forward to this video because as a westoid I don't have a great knowledge of the Smuta so I went expecting him riffing on a bad game while actually talking about the setting but instead its politisperging, only a tiny bit of other stuff and a walkthrough of a boring game.
 
Make your own decision. Why consider it in terms of who has "turned against Warlockracy". Consider what website you are on, if you don't stand with le keking Ruzzia you're going to be lambasted by half these retards

I find a lot of his Russian sperging to be quite tiring at times, but it's as you said a lot of the points he brings are new to someone like me.

I dont think its about being Pro-Russian, its more it just gets tiring hearing this twat constantly do a 90 degrees turn so he can rant how much "Russia sux guyz", by the 10th time this shit just gets annoying. If he just talked about the games, his experience or brought up more obscure facts/stories about said games it would be a different story. But, instead whenever its a Russian game or mod, he needs to beat you over the head how Russia and its people are all shit.
