I asked for a Russian's friend perspective on this and he was kind enough to provide me with a video. The clip is from a stream where they're chatting about something or other but there is plenty of Nesterov talking in it and they do sound strikingly similar and wouldn't be surprised if they're the same person, the real question (presuming they are the same person) is whether the content of the last post can be believed.

Here's another. Still up on YouTube under the name R.O.G. Pogrom #3 — Сравнение российских и американских либералов
Certainly sounds like him to me. The editing with all the wojaks is even the same.

New video:

Honestly the game sounds like a mess. Even without the (probable) political angle, the two most immediate issues are:
* Filled with hipster bullshit - REMEMBER REAGEN AND RED SCARE? YOU CAN FUCK A ROBOT! EVIL CLOWNS ARE SO WACKY!
* The silly tone makes all the choices feel pointless, the world already runs on clown logic so what's the point of overthinking anything?

Also having the game read to you your choices is just gay, though it might looks worse since those segments are in a condensed video.

There is a thread about the game here. The overall opinion is that the difficulty goes from tough in the start, to easy midgame, to tough again in the end. It was also released broken, but seemed to work properly now. Also the ending choices were too restrictive and were meh.

So, how is this any different from say Fallout 1 ans 2 which people jack off and slobber over? Also, your comment about Raegen reads like "Reeee!!! You cannot mock muh Raegen!!" or something. Also, Raegen is like the last thing as I see as "hipster" bullshit, heck hipsters barely even care about the guy.

From what I saw of the older Fallout games they didn't have this level of wackiness, at least not front and center.

And 80's nostalgia has been a cornerstone of hipsters for the last decade (Stranger Things and it's ilk), and it includes Reagen, Red Scare and Fundies.

Not front and center, play Fallout 2, because that game doesnt shy away from the wackiness and frankly embraces it. Also, you do realize that hipsters go after things before they were mainstream, so Stranger Things wouldnt even be in their wheel houseb or even 80s nostalgia? Heck, even Fallout New Vegas made fun of the Red Scare with one character in it rambling about communists taking over the moon and painting Lenins face on it.

For all the talk of how the wackiness in Wasteland 3 is related to the original Fallouts don't forget that Wasteland 2 exists and it was way less wacky than this, sure it had some dumb stuff when you got to Los Angeles but it was never too far out there. The factions could be wacky but never unbelievably so which can't be said about this game.

You mean like in Wasteland 2 where you encounter a cult that worships a nuke, the guys who are obsessed with being polite, the faction of nuns with heavy gatling guns? Also, even before ya reach LA you can encounter some pretty dumb stuff, like all the wierd statues that give you various buffs.

I really hope he covers 7.62 mm. That game is very much slavjank (it crashed all the time) but the gameplay is very interesting.
When it works, it was amazing but it was also very unfair.
gameplay footage.

I could be wrong, but one of the guys who worked on this game, also worked on Silent Storm. If we go about game coverage, theres this cool tactical game about the Russian ALFA Spetnaz, it was def a more hardcore one as you need to plan out your moves in stopped time, beforr going to real time.

Thats quite the tale. Having watched his videos and listened to him I find this plausible. Still enjoying his content, but I am interested to see where his current saga ends up
I think the guy makes the story a bit incomprehensible with the hysterical touches in the writing. To put it bluntly, Nestor (decidedly not-Russian name, btw) here is the offspring of a Soviet spy-executing spook (and you know how stellar the reputation of the Soviet judicial system was with regards to spies and enemies of the people) of Ukrainian extraction (like many 'Russian' spooks of the time) doing 21st century spook things himself like sabotaging any emerging Russian nationalist movements online from producing any kind of compelling image by carefully channeling them into a SBU-FSB collab of a shitshow. That collab imploded with Nester's ex-boss falling naked out of the window of his flat to his death for reasons that today should be obvious to all. That's quite a background, indeed. Spook gaming, folks. Only in Ukrain-o-russia.

He put out a video about a mod of Deus Ex. Seems enjoyable so far but I got the feeling his motivations are more focused on mentioning some information about his life and history that is relevant to the game. The actual gameplay itself seems solid and like an interesting take on Deus Ex's original setting. Also its free so the price is right.

I had a sneaking suspicion part of his intentions were to make a statement on AI replacing jobs as some of his narration sounds like it was made by an AI he likely put together himself. Very robotic edge to certain lines. Didn't see it or hear it. Maybe he'll pop it out later or he's having sound recording issues.

Near the end of the video my suspicions on his motivations seemed to be proven right. Still enjoyable enough but I'd ditch the video once the patrons start rolling if you don't care about his takes on Russian Shit. He starts doing some mild overshare on his own business.

Is there a single video where this chucklefuck isn't going "Muh Russia baad! Forgive me, muh glorious Weeeest!"

Largely Elder Scrolls videos or Fallouts where they're not made by eastern bloc modders. I don't find it as bad most of the time but this video he really laid in on thick. Partially motivated by him allegedly leaving Russia I'd assume.

Well, as the saying goes "Good riddance", then again knowing his types, they'll still try and make money of the Russian viewers because they'll realize nobody outside of Russia gives a shit for them.

Lotta russian rightoids turned into westoid-ukrainoid types in the span of single day (23.02.22-24.02.22). Buck-broken nigger becoming increasingly unbearable to watch has something to do with this.

The politisperging in this one is very weird but I'm willing to give him a pass for it, he's leaving Russia for Kazakhstan and played a mod which has an area set in a place he spent a lot of time in. I can't fault him for getting sentimental and oversharing.
