It's not so much 'meltas OP' as it is the new melta rifle weapon that Eradicators get. People are used to meltas being short range; the melta rifle and heavy melta rifle are R24", with their extra damage component kicking in at 12". Melta rifles deal d6 damage, heavy meltas deal d6+2, and getting close means they get +2 to damage.

So if that Eradicator squad rolls up to your armored vehicle with six melta rifles, it can get VERY ugly (melta rifles are S8 AP-4). With six shots, let's assume they hit four, and wound twice. That's a total of 2d6+4 damage. Watch those wounds flutter away... and did I mention they get a rule called 'Total Obliteration' which means they line up on one target and fire twice?

Eek.
Fucking Primaris. All of the super OP Weaponry of the Eldar but none of the Brittleness. Remember when Marines were the "Jack of All trades" faction? Not even Pepperidge farms remembers at this point...

I won't lie, this helped me solve a conundrum I was having:

I needed one more Heavy Support unit for my Word Bearers and I decided to get Havocs, but I didn't know what to equip them with.
The image above gave me inspiration.
I'm thinking of giving them Marks of Nurgle so they'll get Grandfather's Blessings.
I thought all Nurgle units had access to Disgustingly Resilient? Is it just Death Guard now?
Mark of Nurgle will allow them to be affected by the Nurgle psychic power and strategem in the CSM codex. Not much else outside of 'Your Dudes' fluff.

If you want to do the image above, then take heavy bolters. Reaper chaincannons for anti-horde. And then the other options for anti-heavy units.

Perpetuals are retarded and were a mistake.

Also, how many mothers do space marines need? I always imagined Primarchs grown from the Emperor's blood, aka CLONE sons, not him just knocking up some mary sue wench who pops them out lol.

I guess BL wants to show us what is His anal circumference.
The Iron Neckbeards managed to create a giant pregnant blob to make new Iron Warriors.

Enjoy your nightmares!

The classic GW balance method of leapfrogging every OP codex with a new more OP codex.
Most of the best armies in the game right now are on index, so that hasnt panned out yet.

I am very much aware of this.
What I want to know is this:
Disgustingly Resilient.jpg
I'm getting conflicting reports that this Nurgle specific rule is now Death Guard only as opposed to being available to all Nurgle units.
I want to know if this is true.
That's all I was asking.

I'm surprised that Fabious Bile wasn't involved.

As of right now, that special rule is Death Guard only. Most likely it will include Nurgle Daemons when the Daemon codex comes out. Units from the Chaos Space Marines codex, outside of lesser daemons and daemon princes, have not, and probably will not receive the Disgustingly Resilient trait.

That's nothing compared to the clusterfuck that the showdown between the Emperor and Horus is going to be. I dread what new, retarded retcon they might use to ruin that fight.

If ADB is writing it, as rumored, Horus will come to his senses and redeem himself, saving the Emperor and Terra while fighting off Chaos, but the evil Aspie-Emperor will kill him out of spite, dooming the galaxy. Or the Emperor will die and Horus will secretly be who is on the throne.

Or Horus will survive only to be put down by Garviel Loken as he tries to flee.

Thank you for the clarification.

No, no, it turns out that Sanguinius is able to convince Horus to turn back into the light when he's on the Vengeful Spirit. Then the Emperor fries Horus with his supernova death beam, muttering about broken tools. Then an enraged Sanguinius is able to mortally wound the Emperor before getting eviscerated in turn.

The sad thing is, I can totally see these happening in some way.

It should be noted that special rules are always appearing in a unit's statblock. There's no 'if this unit is X, check page Y to see what special ability it has'. ALL special abilities are listed.

I'd be very surprised if Nurgle daemons didn't get Disgustingly Resilient. I mean, they handed out the Resurrection Protocols and Living Metal rules to just about every Necron unit. Scarab Swarms are going to be ridiculously resilient...

The next Underworlds boxed set contains what I believe to be a Slaangor, and it looks perfect. It looks like a slinking, languid thing that would rape and eat you at the same time.

The Greater Blight Drone from the new Imperial Armour has Disgustingly Resilient, Nurgle's Gift, and Demonic. No details are given, only "see Codex: Death Guard". Putrid Explosion however, is typed out with the 4+ explosion rule. Also, the named Nurgle Daemons (Mamon, Cor'bax, and Scabeiathrax) have Disgustingly Resilient as well, although their note says "see Codex: Chaos Daemons".

Looks like Disgustingly Resilient is a Nurgle trait and not just restricted to Death Guard. Whether or not it can be applied to CSMs, Havocs, and Bikers through a Mark will have to wait until the Chaos Codex is released. Given there is "Nurgle's Gift", that might be the bonus from having a Mark of Nurgle.
