So, my Twitter translation is he 100% leaked stuff, probably in response to being scolded for attacking the fanbase. He's out of writing for anything substantial, outside of Wizards of the coast, who will underpay him, for leaking. He's now hoping he can get a big patreon to write for his own Twitter Derangement.

In response to the Squats getting a return, while I do like them, I really hope they only do it if they have a two distinct flavor to them. As they are in the old fluff they are just kinda half guard, half mechanics, and a little bit of Astartes. Other than trains, they need something to really stand them out as another Imperial army.

Kustom Bikes are Squat Kultur

Well, what play styles are left for the Squats to take up, exactly? Gunline? Hard elites? Artillery? All of those are already taken up by other Imperium armies.

And how would they write them back into the fluff? Bigass fleet of them bursts out of the warp someplace carrying some Primarch with them, saving the Imperium somehow? The Squats showing up to defend Terra against some Tyranid Hive Fleet that shows up out of the blue?

Squats are up there with the missing Primarchs and the Emperor coming back as far as fluff is concerned. Basically a giant "PRESS BUTTON IN CASE OF COMPLETELY FAILED EDITION" thing.

Didn't they hit said button when they had a $200,000 USD Christmas quarter one year and brought Girlyman back a bit afterwards?

So what time do you guys think that the box is gonna go live on GW?

No idea, but the word from the stores is they VASTLY underprinted them and they sold out stupidly quick.

If I had to guess, around 6 AM PST, when they did their last big announcements.

Edit: Arch is covering the Twitter guy getting shoahed

I had been thinking about that since my post. Them being isolated and thought lost due to warp storms is the easiest explanation. Also have them been fighting nids this whole time, to justify their radical change.

As to their place? Imperial Secundus has the Mechanicum add a Dark adjective, Squats pop out with a massively ramped up industrial system, but almost fully depleted systems following 1v1ing a hive fleet. Secundus starts becoming more distinct with Squatty tech as opposed Mars Cult, further flags of possible Imperial civil war.

I dunno. I think Guilliman would do everything short of setting himself on fire to prevent a civil war, which means telling Mars 'shut the fuck up about tech heresy unless you plan to storm the Cicatrix Maledictum yourself, faggots'.

GW: Arch Warhammer is toxic and we will destroy the entire Youtube 40k Fandom just to fuck him over if we have to.
will they? will they terminate all the soy "battlreport" channels that keep popping up?
or will they go for the core of the youtube presents? i cant see them going after all the channels that work with alfabusa. it would burn their presents out for a couple of years.

Well, the theory is, if he fights their trademark claim, they'd be forced to enforce it. On everyone, equally. That means every youtube channel that mentions 40k.

Also GW: Our Black Library author is too woke and thus we have to fire him.

Nice to see GW discovering why you don't hire these types in the first place. Once they're fired, they knife you in the back on the way out the door. And maybe the woke discovering that corporations don't REALLY give a shit about your stupidass social causes.

This gives me optimistic ratings. Marvel would never do this.

Quick question:
Would a video game based on the gameplay of the XCOM series be an accurate portrayal of WH40K (in terms of how the game is played)?

Fuck this cocksucker, he threw away a writing position at one of the most coveted sci fi positions in the world so he could get likes on twitter. He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword. The shittiest people fostered the current cancer in GW's corporate culture, and now they reap the rewards. I have literally zero sympathy for this balding nerd.

As expected at around 10am when I went to check for the box set every site including GW was either down or took forever to load. What I didn’t expect however is not a single 3rd party retailer has the Indomitus box set on discount. Element games, Firestorm Games, On tabletop are all going for the full £125.

I’m gonna skip this one and just buy the rule book and new chapter approved books instead. Also only GW could try and succeeded in selling two sheets of laminated cardboard for £30

If stories about the box's availability are true, I hope there's a second printing. GW doesn't strike me as the kind of company that would intentionally leave millions on the table and piss off fans and retailers for some forced scarcity bullshit.

What universe do you live in where GW listens to fans and doesn't enforce arbitrarily high prices? I'd like an invitation.

Aren't all of the minis in this boxset going to come out in October or later anyway? My necron playing friend got to split the cost with someone who wanted the thick book and the primarina smurfs.

Not only will they be coming out later, they'll be better, as they'll be multi-pose and have complete rules and weapon options.

However, there's a non-zero chance they'll pull some fuckery with the HQ units, like they did with the captain in gravis armor... although from the looks of it they might have just decided that they didn't want to make a Captain in Gravis Armor + customizable gear a thing.

The necron stuff will probably come out in a new start collecting box and space marine units will probably be £30 - £40 while all the characters will be £18 - £25
