Wouldn't normally double-post, but I don't give a shit and this has nothing to do with the previous secondary.
Don't have a source, no the font for the warhammer copyright doesn't match other recent sprues but that's not necessarily a deciding factor and the logo was apparently missing from the tomb world terrain as well. There was a rumor floating around in 9th that they had outsourced some terrain production to china(they've done it before with things like adeptus titanicus and aeronautica) and terrain does make sense as a less risky set of molds to ship to the chinamen if it were to get copied. Apparently they line up with some of the layouts shown for 11e previews. Basically it appears to be pre-painted terrain. The sheets between the sprues in the 2nd page appear to possibly show overspray from a UV printer(that's the kind of thing that could be used for something like this in production). There was a 5th image, but apparently it wasn't saved before shit got nuked.

Releasing pre-painted terrain makes a lot of sense since that is one thing most players hate doing themselves. I've painted most of the terrain for my guys but that's only because I initially bought them as fortifications from 6th / 7th ed.

The MDF terrain for Kill Team was actually really nice. It felt like a solid midpoint between hand painted stuff and literally kitchen bowls and other junk. It was also quick to set up and it seemed solidly built and it looked nice. The KT starter set was overall GOATed as fuck though for modern 40k.
Whilst id love to have some of GWs terrains (which typically are nice), they are usually stupid expensive and limited runs. MDF is a cheaper but not cheap alternative.
So I got a printer for terrain. Easier at this stage i guess. Colosseum printed, now looking at some space hulk / boarding action terrain options to do something different.

For sure. Even an FLG MDF set is $200-250. Depending on which terrain bits GW sells at any given time, a table's worth from them could be $500-800.
I was thinking about the sprues in the images. It could just be a new GW terrain sprue set, but the color printing could be limited runs for large event organizers as some of those people would need 200, 300, even 500 sets and pre-painted plastic is a hell of a lot quicker than 3d printing at that kind of scale.

I think when looking at the terrain set i like the look of, its maybe 4-5kg of filament for WAY too much space hulk which includes floors. Thats 80-100 dollarydoos which again, is for printing more than I need. GW terrain is closer to 1k in my currency for the same amount and harder to source. No thanks.
Its probably GW wanting to have stuff good to go for weekly tournaments. .akes sense since its a big shakeup.
The STC is kept very secret. It doesn't see a ton of use because it draws attention and what it produces gives you cancer.
In our own world The US military has weapons, equipment, and ideas that never see the light of day. When you do hear about them it sounds like total bullshit. Yet they deploy them pretty regularly. Sound rifles and heart attack guns? How have these not leaked and been mass produced by another country or even found their way into the hands of the general public? It's all tightly controlled and used in such a way to minimize exposure.
40k is not the real world. How you cannot get this through your head is amazing, but no one else fucking cares what your personal opinion about shit is you wiki reading secondary. You're still upset from weeks ago and replying like a faggot dredging that shit up again. The actual hobbyists are trying to discuss shit.

The fact that they don't keep Space Hulk as a regular release is something I've always found a bit strange. It sells well every time they release a version of it, but they want to treat it like the wargaming equivalent of the McRib.
Maybe, but if that's the case I don't think they've done similar before? Sure there's some area templates needed a couple different pieces than what TOs would have already had. But 9e's terrain changes were bigger than that(even if it wasn't really official then) but 10e's were.
Started the first chapter on your recommendation, instantly drew me in. This is my first time hearing of this guy and if all of his novels open this strongly I'm definitely going to add him to my reading list

You are dodging the actual point being made by reframing it "it's fiction, therefore it's irrelevant".
40k is written by real people, obviously inspired by real world institutions and cultures. The setting itself is a critique of what inspired it, it's meant to be compared to our world. With out this comparison the setting is just pure rule of cool instead of intentional world building, which it most definitely is not. You, supposedly, of all people should know that.
I'm not a secondary, but for you being some kind of 'real fan' you get an awful lot wrong. Sorry can opener man, but you are the faggot.
