I've been doing some digging and I think everything hinges on Andy Smillie.
A bunch of news articles are saying he's the new creative director of Games Workshop (guess my post about not hearing about the role already aged like milk) so it might be up to him what gets signed off on the show, the tabletop, and the lore.
From what I can find about him the only red flags are, retweeting the "warhamer is for everyone" post GW made in 2020, being a massive Flesh Tearers fanboy that rivals ward and his smurfs, and running the Warhammer Community team back in 2017.
Ah that guy, he likes taking the idea's of other people and claiming they're his own in the company. He'll do what it takes to into any position of power even if it means ruining the fanbase, the company, and the game. He's a selfish lying prick. Exactly the type of person Amazon wants around so they can make Rings of Power 2.0 with another franchise.
Random thought: Part of the lore of 40k is that the average imperial citizen doesn't know jack and shit about Chaos, the Heresey, Xenos (other than: they're bad)... That leans in well to a TV show or movie.
They know about Chaos, just not what Chaos is exactly. The thing they don't often know about is what the Warp is.

Adressing some thoughts people had about adapting Eisenhorn:
Eisenhorn is already diverse enough that adapting it in current year is not going to break too much of the lore. Various of his followers are women or brown and his apprentice is either gay or so openly faggy it won't make a difference.
It shouldn't be too expensive since the principal cast is all humans and their powers are psychic stuff. You don't need huge battlefields or space battles, for the most part its hive cities allowing for relatively cheap interior shots.
It's also normie friendly in that it's pretty much just a detective story in space. The main things to explain would be how the Imperium functions and how it relates to chaos, which any introduction to W40K would want to do anyway.

That being said if they don't cast Cavill as a Space Marine they're missing a huge chance. He would be especially miscast as Eisenhorn, an old guy with facial paralysis.

So I guess the usual suspects on Reddit are trying to claim that as a member of ... GamerGate and QAnon (wtf), as well as being an actual fan of the series and not a Tourist... Cavil can't be allowed to be in charge of the 40k movie/show project him and his girlfriend are headlining.

If you remember, this is very similar to how they handled the new Marvel Comics head -- by claiming that massive weeb who moved to Japan and integrated with his wife's birth country was RACIST~!, they forced him to give them as many concessions as they wanted and prevented him from doing anything to stop the wokies in the company. By screaming accusations at Cavil they'll get concessions and blunt any influence he might have had.

(Bonus: The Sigmarxism assholes literally bemoan that Black Library writers won't be able to "fix" the 40k shows under Cavil, so in case you ever wondered if Black Library was compromised by these batshit lunatics, well, there you go.)

I think Cavill is going in with the best intentions, but he's working with Amazon so I'm not optimistic.
Cavill is the only Hollywood person I know of that I would actually trust with 40k seeing how autistic he is about it. But it gets equaled out by being made by amazon. I guess he proved that he will leave a show if it goes way to far from source material with the Witcher so I guess I am slightly optimistic and will use him as a canary.

It's on Reddit so it has to be taken as gospel lol.
This just tells me that not only will the show actually be good despite the people making it, it will have a lot of salt going for it due to the usual retards.
Games Workshop is a miniature company, they want people to buy more miniatures. This means that new players will interact with old players who believe the lore is set in stone. Video games are third to them as they still offer their IP's for cheap, The plastic and the books make them the most money.

He wasn't always old though. His artwork of him younger sort of looks like Cavill if he had a larger head. It's mostly just due to the jawline though

Now, would Natalie Viscuso make for a good Bequin? Or would she just do her usual role as Production assistant?

With Cavill's autism we might see a good show if only that GW doesn't want to lose him. Personally I hope we stick with a small squad, get space marines involved near the end, fight cultists, maybe a genestealer, possibly on a space hulk; basically keep the budget low but the atmosphere and tone high to keep that 40k vibe still, and if successful, then we get to see land raiders rolling over daemons.

I been into Warhammer 40k lore for a while, litsening to audiobooks. Been making Lego models for a while, uploaded my first model on YouTube a year ago. Here's my current build, Black Templars Battle Barge.
Sorry if posting in wrong thread, this is my first forum post in literally years on any website.

So the Dave Filoni of GW without the stupid cowboy hat and wolf fetish then?

Dave actually loves Star Wars though and has done a great job with the IP. In terms of the "television" stuff, only Obi Wan and Andor have been pretty bad recently, and that horrible stylized 3d project that was out a few years ago (only thing I didn't like from Dave, but that's due to the art direction). Why is that? They were made by people who aren't fans of the franchise. Similar to the movies. In order for an IP to get the best treatment possible you need someone in charge who loves the IP and can convince the companies who own it of their vision of it. Sadly, Amazon and Games Workshop are two different companies with different ideologies. One wants to be woke as possible so they can get as few people to watch their garbage on Prime, and another company that wants to straddle that line like an underage teen drunk riding a mechanical bull.

They probably have at least a thousand normies who already play the game thanks to knowing celebs like Cavill play it. They'll want to keep those numbers up
Space Hulk would be one of the easiest set pieces to work on and change up for scenes. In terms of out door locations, they'll probably head to Canada to save money. and probably to Calgary due to how that city treats film companies and the fact the city and surrounding areas already looks like a shit hole.

LMAO wut? Furloni keeps shoving his orange waifu and wolves into everything. @Creep3r could reiterate just how  swell Star Wars is going under the wolf fetishist's direction in more detail.
In relation to 40K, I would be not to concerned with Cavill but who else is going to be on the staff of this new series.

Isn't Space Hulk all Space Marines through? I figure the best way is some guard stuff and just have one really well done Space Marine show up to help out. Something that has the weight and power to it. Something like this at a much higher budget:

Keeps the human element while slowly introducing the other stuff that 40K has.

Most of these adaptations are written for a sequel but never see one. Leaving too many open doors at the end of the story is just going to piss people off if it doesn't get renewed.

Are you shitting me? He's as Wolf of the Wolf's Wolf as the Space Wolves are.

You've got those Wolf clone troopers, the wolf force spirits... pretty sure there's more out there I've intentionally blanked from my mind because fuck that guy.

Not always. If a Space Hulk appears in a system and there's no Marines nearby someone has to get sent in on a suicide mission, and that someone is the Imperial Guard. Considering the size of a Space Hulk its just urban combat against Genestealers, which while pants-shittingly horrifying for obvious reasons isn't completely impossible. Just mostly. After all, a platoon of Guardsmen and their heavy weapons is about as easy to transport via boarding craft as a squad of Terminators, and considering once Genestealers get close even a Terminator is going to be fucked... a few heavy bolter teams are pretty damn handy. The biggest issue is unlike Terminators they can't move fast and deep on strike missions, but assuming the space hulk is sticking around for a while that's not a problem since you can just fly reinforcements and supplies in and the dead and dying out as you flush the 'stealers out section by section with flamer teams and overwatch units.

Bezos will forbid it, but Flashgitz have thrown their hats into the ring:

That would be too funny and awesome to be true.

As for Cavill being a 40k nerd who "won't allow" them to pozz it up: the same thing was said about the Tolkien Estate when Rings of Power was announced. I'm not holding my breath.

I think I found the perfect role for him if the Flash Gitz are involved...

Brother-Librarian Calistarius of the Blood Angels. For those of you wondering why that name is familiar, he was no doubt sent to the Death Company as penance for having fun with the lives of so many 1st Company veterans, where he finally learned his lesson about how very un-fun it is to be on the receiving end of suicide missions after an entire cathedral fell on him during the Second War for Armageddon.
