Ah, so this is an announcement of just the rights deal before any particular project is in the works. I wonder if Hollywood Reporter had a leak that the official statement is reacting when GW would've otherwise done so at a later date, similar to the previous Angron model leak. Also note that this is specifically about 40k, leaving AoS out. Not sure whether the Horus Heresy is included given how much GW gives it a distinct categorization now, but in any case, I think Amazon will be focusing on the proper 40k setting.
Now does all this mean _exclusive_ rights for Amazon? What does this mean for Warhammer TV projects, or that old Eisenhorn series production? What does "and more" mean besides series and films?
And who the hell says "GAW" to mean Games Workshop?
