TFW you're a higher rank then almost every chat mod. That's fucking ridiculous without any of this other information, how the fuck are you a Lotus guide if you're Mastery Rank 2? What do you even know about the game at that point? That's what @Jaimas, an hour of play or so?

Edit: is there a good place to read about previous drama? I've only been playing for like a year so I've missed all the shit that happened before then.

For MR3 you need 17500 total mastery. Getting a weapon to level 30 gives you 3000 and getting a frame to 30 gives you 6000. Hell even completing a junction gives you 1000 mastery. So you could get to MR3 with nothing but getting your starter gear to 30 and unlocking 3 planets.

Wonderful OP, I'd heard about the trap thing but didn't have any other context outside of it. I don't understand how SJW types slip into and infect almost every community so consistently. I've run or co-run Discord servers with more moderation to ensure crazy people don't slip in to eat in from the inside out, let alone a company that actually employs people at high positions of power like this.

I moderated Warframe's chats even before I was a moderator. I would sit in region and relay for hours, choosing not to play the game in lieu of watching others who would seek to harm or belittle others. In the case of _Frost_Prime_, I even chose to give up sleep so that I could catch them in relay chat being ugly towards other players. I had a hand in them being permabanned, and I was just a simple player back then.

Never in my life have I seen someone take such a braggadocious approach to what I might consider THE saddest spergery I have ever read.

Even less because you get a small amount just for completing any given mission for the first time. This gets even more baffling when you consider you can't get past Neptune without doing an MR 3 story mission, or past Sedna without an MR 5 bossfight. They aren't just not playing the game, they actually can't play upwards of 1/3 of it without taxis.

Why do I get the feeling telluric and the Tumblr mods will pop up in some other gaming community demanding mod status again? They dont strike me as the type to just let dogs lie and not want power.

There was an instance of Fortuna, number 69. Of course people would joke, saying "nice." in chat. This lead to prompting to be banned, and upon questioning they were given the return of "Spam is spam." Here's a thread about "mod's dictatorships", which also touches up upon them banning people on Warframe's official forums (archive link)

God I hate people. "You should feel blessed that DE even made this game and allows you to play it pleb! Now eat your shit sundae."

In Warframe, in order to unlock stuff, like reserve slots and better gear, you actually have to do what Warframe calls Mastery Rank tests. You can do one a day and they each impart a new rank once beaten. A few of the later tests (Rank 13 in particular) are trial-and-error nonsense that you can't do without knowing what to do beforehand, but for the most part they're pretty straightforward. Each test gives a number of benefits once passed, including unlocking new gear for use, giving you more reserve slots, and making it easier to level up new equipment. To boost Mastery Rank, you just need to level up equipment, then take the test when you've done it enough. That is literally all you need to do.

Now, there are work-arounds for Mastery Rank. For example, if you want to use a weapon that's way above your MR rating right now, you can still purchase it directly from the shop using Platinum, WF's premium currency. The interesting thing however is that Mastery Rank is a pretty good visual representation for how dedicated a player is, up until around Rank 14 or so, when the actual benefits of MR rankings become less tangible and are really solely there for bragging rights. I bring all this shit up, however, because if you look at the Mastery Ranks of the Warframe Chat Mods involved in this debacle, a pattern quickly emerges:

NervousTraschat - Silver Initiate (Rank 2)
Telluric - Silver Seeker (Rank 14)
Shadow - Initiate (Rank 1)
Bear - Juggerdaddy (Not an attainable rank)
Okami_Shiranui - Silver Initiate (Rank 2)
Server - Disciple (Rank 7)

Most of WF's chat mods have hundreds, if not thousands of hours of play according to their Steam profiles, but Telluric and maybe Bear aside, the overpowering majority of them are either at entry rank or a rank that your average newcomer could match in about a day of casual gameplay. This means they're specifically being put there in order to shit up region chat, and being put there above people who are actually playing the game. I'm not 100% on why DE keeps allowing this crap to happen, beyond the fact that [DE]Danielle is a Tumblrette and that the asshole behind the chatbot, [DE]Glen, is a borderline lolcow himself according to the subreddit.

Community managers being utmost faggots that don't know how to play the game? Color me shocked. Also mastery 1-8 are piss easy to get. The hilarity of this is insane. You can level up your Warframe and weapons to 30 really easy. It isn't that hard. The hours they spend are honestly just bullshitting, they aren't playing.

I've never seen this before, probably because I only pay attention to my guild chat, squad chat and trade chat. I don't do region chat.

Also, you can practice mastery ranks at any junction. You don't need to second guess them and you can learn them as many times as you want before you complete the challenge. But seriously, the 1-8 Mastery ranks are so simple.

Also mastery 1-8 are piss easy to get

That is what cracks me up the most about this. The numbers that you need don't get high until MR9, and even that's not a bit deal if you play daily. I login every day at least but dont play daily, and I hit 9 without an issue except that bullshit sneaking test.

Another point about them being Lotus guides, I'm at MR9 and I'm still learning about the game even with my tendency to devour wiki information and I've been playing for almost a year like I said. How can you answer a question about say, a high-level weapon? You've literally never used that weapon! I doubt that DE's chat mods are getting access to all of the Platinum stuff for free so what kind of sense does that even make?

This is going to end one of two ways and we all know that. Either Danielle gets fired and throws her little autism fit online like Alison Rapp (and any other number of these people have done) as they realize how much money this is actually going to cost them in the long run. Or, they keep Danielle and the Tumblrtards on the team and we all watch Warframe die a slow death as the IAP's increase, the player base leaves as they get tired of the bullshit, twitch prime drops stop, you know the story. One way will be hilarious. The other will be kind of sad for me, as I do really enjoy Warframe.

To them being a Space-Ninja is less of a power fantasy than roleplaying as this guy:

An importat update on the community mods MR ranks: Namely, that the rankings listed previously were in error. Several users brought this up to me in PM earlier, but the TL;DR is that user rank on the forums is separate from their actual in-game ranks. It also doesn't cover cross-platform ranks, but since all of the mods are PC users this is less of a thing. I probably should have guessed this myself since Server had Founder status, but yeah, the forum and in-game statistics are entirely seperate and the former are incorrect.

This is entirely my error, and I will own that.

Despite the initial reports, almost all of them are, in fact, rank 24 or higher. Which stands to reason: Telluric (for example) Has well over three times my play time in Warframe (and as I have cranked a ton of hours into this game over the last six years, that kind of speaks for itself. )
However, this does open up a rather unusual quirk that I had not noticed previously.

The bulk of the WF chat mods have been increasingly drifting from the game and spending less and less time there, if at all. Telluric, for instance, latched onto Destiny 2, and many of the others don't play Warframe anywhere near as much as they used to. Where this becomes humorous is that they've actually missed multiple recent events and in a few cases have been barely on recently prior to the ragequit of Telluric and Server. Both of whom took to openly shit-talking WF on Twitter on the way out.

What this implies is that Telluric and Server quite literally had a massive sperg-out and meltdown over the community of a game they each put well over 3500 hours into because the community would not tolerate their systemic attempts to turn region chat into yet another hugbox, and that's fucking hilarious. It also puts this quote that @Doomfist noted from Telluric make much more sense:

It's quite possible that the original drive to put the likes of Telluric and friends into place is because they have absolutely no offline lives, and there was money to be saved by putting such individuals in charge, not that this turned out to be a particularly good option on retrospect.

How much of a fucking faggot loser do you have to be to sacrifice your sleep to moderate chat for free? Jesus fucking christ. Yeah, that's more than likely why they were chosen. Specifically because they had no lives. Problem was all they wanted to do was police others and not make a good community.

The people that want to moderate are probably the worst people for the job.

Shit like this and AllTheFoxes is what happens when you give spergs with no social skills or life experience absolute power.
