She's not describing a relationship, as far as I'm concerned; she's describing an exhausting one way street where every interaction seems based on the premise that no matter what the discussion, activity or conversation, he is approaching it from an assumed, automatic premise that "I am wrong, SHE is right."

Approaching every hard conversation with: "I could have done better."? How about when the hard conversation is generated by a verbal or physical wrong she may have committed, in his opinion?

Or does that simply just not happen in her world?

She's 38 - if she was in any sort of decent shape, she might have what I'll call proto-jowls' but nothing like what she's displaying in that photo.

Her jowls look to me to be a combination of unfortunate genetics, excess weight & are not helped by the permanent pout she always seems to wear.

I don't where she lives but is this a porch pumpkin? If so, highly inappropriate if kids will be trick or treating.

I've followed some of Virgie's antics from the Jess Baker and Jeannette DePattie drama days when HAES was just starting to take off. I know she really thinks she's some kind of academic professional. That's fine and all, but like Tess the GUNT, this constant swearing and using FUCK like Australians use cunt for punctuation is not professional. And it isn't edgy or quirky either. It's petty and sophomoric--traits you do not want to showcase if you are trying to put yourself out there as an advocate or a professional.
And like Tess, Virgie seems completely unable or unwilling to grasp that you need to SMILE. Write lighthearted, be lighthearted and approachable. You want to be some people's comfort and win over skeptics... you need to be friendly, not over the top, but kind and make your audience feel like you're accessable.

Even Feeder fetish models know this. Watch some of the documentaries out there. Newcomers to the fatty fetish scene are explicitly taught to smile, and radiate happiness and kindness. Your fans are your paychecks and you are on the clock.

All these fat, young, HAESers are gonna start having catastrophic health problems soon enough. "I've skated through my thirties, see? Perfectly healthy." will not last forever.
And when they do start having heart attacks and strokes and diabetes complications and so on, they'll just say, "Fuck you, it could happen to anyone," and continue on their way. They already feel ok including sleep apnea, controlled diabetes, depression, joint pain in their description of "health." They already say, "health is a social construct, you can't define me by your health standards."
But once they start falling apart and it's clearly from their obesity, no one is going to buy their bs anymore.
:optimistic: ...right? Or the decrepit ones will just be memory holed and new sassy fats will take their place, who knows anymore.

For someone who loves lording her non-terminal degree over everyone and informing (condescendingly) us that she is not only a consummate professional and expert, but that she and her ilk are body positive and "tolerant."

If she has a regular nine to five, her HR department should see this. Not a good look.

EDIT: Because (rant) I am really over and sick of "It's not what you know, it's who you know." There are far too many people job seeking only to be told that they don't have the right degree, license, or experience all while seeing individual after individual like this tardfail getting a job--GOOD ones at that--only to have them demonstrate their lack of qualifications, aptitude to perform, and professionalism because...reasons.

Not too familiar with Ms. Tovar & must admit to be taken aback at her reply. The lady who commented didn't say HAES was incorrect in principle or that diets were bad. She didn't claim to be trying to turn herself into a 'hateful willow branch' or anything considered anathema to HAES. She simply quietly, politely, pointed out that in her case & sometimes for others, some sort of defined diet plan WAS necessary. Kudos to this young lady for considering the needs of herself & her son before any woke position.

If Ms. Tovar considers herself an academic, she can; & I have no reason to be polite; fuck right off with her closed minded attitude. Woke, HAES, BoPo, SJW blathering is not exempt from reality. Even if HAES was 100% correct, anyone who's done genuine, open minded research or who has read published papers MUST recognize there are always outliers in the data, someone or a result that doesn't fit the rest of the data.

At best, Ms. Tovar is a self-serving poser. At worst, she's a poor example of genuine academic inquiry.
 
Wow. And here I thought that between going steady with her autistic hobbit and getting properly chastised over the Shrill debacle, Virgie had calmed down somewhat. She's still the meanest, ugliest and most bitter crab in the bucket by far.
