In his Mario Maker video today he said he's still not sure if he'll return to streaming. Also not sure if they will always do premieres. Talked about how he loves making videos and sharing it with everyone. He wants to take a step back because community stuff can get crazy. I added the timestamp in the video below if you want to hear the full thing

I initially thought he would make a return to steaming for the charity but he still doesn't know what he wants. It is more than likely he would do a pre recorded video for the charity stream because I don't see him skipping out on that. If the charity stream is in late July like it usually is he has well over a month to think everything through.

I have a feeling that he will become a tuber instead. The membership monetization is the nail in the coffin for me.

He's not going to make much from $1 membership though. He would need a hell of lot of members to support him. Right now he has a little over 250 people that joined. Some people are choosing the $5 option but its a very small percentage. He's making just enough money to pay John and his editors tbh. Its not a sustainable option to support himself.

I dont know if he's edging us on or if he truly doesn't know. He's not really encouraging people to stop subbing to his twitch either, in fact he stated before that you dont have to still sub but it does help him out and he appreciates it.

In the beginning of the Mario video he said if you're still subscribed to his twitch channel and you want to get the emotes on youtube too you can cause its only a $1 extra.

I think he's being honest and is weighing pros and cons. He loves video making but doesn't enjoy the parasocial relationship aspect of it and the grueling 7-days-a-week from Midnight to 4 AM streaming schedule he had before. The latter can probably be fixed moving forward by just streaming when he wants to, but the former is tougher. He's already stopped reading social media and is no longer doing his own emails, which is a good start. If he did go back to streaming, he could also cut art corners. That would get rid of some of the art thots that always creeped on him, as well as remove the awkward moments where he has to be complementary to art that's clearly weird or not that good. Maybe he just highlights a few select works chosen by his mods and the rest get uploaded to a commentary-less Fullsauce video that John puts together.

I don't think he'd ever go to a emote-only chat; he'd be better off making videos at that point as it would defeat the benefits of streaming. I do wonder if he'll give streaming a trial run at one point just to see how it feels before making a more long-term decision on his content style.

As you mentioned, he will probably have to weigh the financial aspect of it as well. Youtube doesn't draw nearly the revenue that Twitch does, even with the option of supporting him there now available. If he does stick to being a Tuber, he could pick up a side job doing video/audio editing or doing something else that he enjoys to cover the financial difference.

Vin should do what vtubers do (yes I know just give me my autistic sticker) and have the art on an automatic slideshow in the corner during BRBs and endings, that way the art gets shown on stream but he doesn’t have to look at or comment on any of it

I'm certain if he's gonna go to pre-recorded, a Patreon is inevitable. If it happens, he's done streaming.

So, now that we already shat all over Red Vox I think it's Joel's turn: does anyone actually like his stuff? I listened to a few songs from Toxic Minds and they were decent at best, just generic death metal with zero distinguishing qualities.
I enjoy Vin's music a lot, as me and him both have very similar musical tastes, but I just cannot get into Scythelord. Sounds like run-of-the-mill death metal to me.

From someone who has a molecule of experience with death metal it’s pretty average, but the lyrics are pretty ok. That’s why i’m pretty excited for the new album, since the previews make it sound like they experimented around a bit more

In the 5th part of an Earthbound stream (IIRC), Joel said dream recorders are being researched. Then he says that if one could record a cat dream, recordings could show that people in a cat dream could talk in "demon speak" (made up people sounds) - since cats don't really know of language.

For some reason that was really funny to me.

Another update on gay pink mink: he still hasn't deleted the discord he said he'd be deleting 20 days ago. At this point assume he hasn't followed through until you hear otherwise.

His twitch description says he's on a short hiatus and he hasn't deleted that account either. How long do you give it until he attempts to come back?

also what the fuck happened to revs avatar?

He and Mike decided to do horny Vtuber stuff because it brings in the viewers. It's purely a money thing. They don't act any different they just put an anime girl on stream and get 100-300 extra viewers.

No way he ever goes patreon after last time.
He has said before he saves most of his money. Based on emote slots and the rate he was earning them, I'd estimate he probably had around 3k subs at peak. Even if he didn't have a higher split, that was still 7.5k a month. He most likely had a 75/25 split so he was probably bringing in 12.5k a month and that's a lowball. Combine that with the red vox sales, bits he didn't want, a house he didn't have to pay for, no gf (lol), no hobbies besides the studio, and he's sitting on enough cash he could toss it into the market and drift for the rest of his life.
