First stream I watched in a while and I really enjoyed it! I absolutely love when Vinny plays old and obscure games like that.

Too bad the stream only lasted for half an hour. Also, Vinny adding fart sound effects while playing the last game got just a tiny bit redundant after a while. Sometimes I really think he has the mindset of a high schooler.

I wonder if Vinny would like Snatcher. There's the obvious cyberpunk theme to it as a positive but at the same time it's also mostly a visual novel from what I remember so I dunno if it'd really work as a streaming game.

Snatcher would definitely not work at all. That game has extremely overbloated writing even as far as Kojima's stuff goes and there's no voice acting on top of that. There's almost no commentary you can fit in there. Might as well stream Vinny reading a book.

Yeah, Snatcher is best presented by someone who already knows the game, which is sadly slowbeef 🤦‍♂️

Remind me again, why do people go insane over Bugsnax? Isn't it just some adventure game for kids? Why do people drool over it so much?
It's actually not a bad game, but imo the writing and dialogue is just complete trash. The chat goes into a fit every time any of the characters are affectionate or caring with one another in any way and it's kind of irritating.
Definitely worth a full sauce watch though. I think Joel played through it in it's entirety and had a really good time with it. Bunger

He also did a nice metal rendition of its theme by Kero Kero Bonito. A pinnacle of Joel humour.

I also missed the moment when Super Ghostbusters reached a million views and became the second most viewed video on Uncut channel.

Why the hell was Vinny spooked by that Chinese guy in that English teaching game?
You know damn well why, he's just worried of the avalanche of death threat emails he's gonna get for showcasing racist behavior on stream, despite most people not giving a shit

Pre-release, KKB's song and the speculation over it becoming a horror game underneath a cutesy exterior appealed to a lot of people. Then when the game came out, it turned out to have actual merit. The bugsnax themselves are a huge part of its popularity because of their design and voice work, basically like Pokemon, and the gameplay is genuinely good and somewhat unique. The graphics certainly don't scream next gen, but they're bright and colorful which helps it stand out from the usual.

The story, characters, and dialogue are hit or miss, but many do like it.

Why the hell was Vinny spooked by that Chinese guy in that English teaching game? It's made by asians, FOR asians, and the voice actor is clearly asian, what the fuck? Coming from the guy who referenced the sushi guy going "YOU BRADE RUNNER?" and saying stuff in HONORABU SAMURAI VOICE his reaction seems very faked.
You know that Japanese people can discriminate against Chinese people, right? Just because they're all Asian it doesn't mean they're all okay with each other. War crimes and all that. I do have to agree that his reaction is less from being offended and more from being potentially assblasted by the Twitch community.

Yeah, but that's still not racist, mang. If it's discrimination people should call it that instead of making words not mean what they mean and then get all surprised when people don't take them seriously.

There doesn't need to be a reason for people to obsess over things anymore. Things are chosen to be "big" and then they become big.

"haha funny bunger word XDDDD" was basically perfect for Vinny's catchphrase-obsessed chat.

I haven't had chance to play my copy yet, but there doesn't seem to be a drop of cynicism in the thing from what I can see. It's very "video-gamey" and in an era of games wanting to be more "cinematic" it's always nice to get a title like this even if it's rough around the edges.

Hard to disagree. Bugsnax's popularity before release felt like people were chomping at the bit for another FNAF or Undertale. Supposed cute thing ends up being horror or edgy. While I think the game itself did end up having some merit, I feel like it would have been pushed as a hit regardless

We did get a decent stream out of it though. If it's fun, it's fun. As long as we don't end up with Grumpus OCs and Bugsnax AUs. No, don't tell me if there is.

All I knew about Bugsnax before launch was that it was by the Octodad developers, so I figured it would just be another good game. Turns out it was. Nothing to get too excited about, nothing to get annoyed at.

Either someone from here or maybe there is a subreddit. I doubt vin is losing his crackers, this is a common streamer/letplayer issue, since they end up playing a game past where they are super interested because they have to make a full segment out of it instead of switching games on a whim, just ending up not paying attention and missing stuff.
People often underestimate how hard it can be to both concentrate on a game and talk to the viewers, especially if the gameplay is particulary intense or if it requires attentive listening. Not everyone is great at multitasking.

Edit: typo

Agree with you, but I also think he was mainly just faking his reaction for comedic effect, not because he was genuinely afraid of getting cancelled. I thought it was funny anyway.
