does vin's constant blabbering about star trek recently make anyone else want to gouge their own eyes out? i can't be the only one that skips about 3 minutes in the VOD every time he brings it up.

Have you given it a try atleast? Or is it just not your kind of show? If you grew up in the 90s like Vin, Star Trek (especially TNG) was like the quintessential thing to watch for sci-fi nerds. TNG is just a really comforting show to go back to when everything is poop.

As a complete outsider to Star Trek, I still enjoy it. It's nice to hear Vinny talk about things he actually enjoys, plus seeing chat get mad about it is funny.

In fact I watch whatever recent episode of rlm is talking about star trek then I watch vinny recapping rlm's take, then I watch a few eps of ds9 with my buddy, then I wait for vinny to talk about voyager or whatever hes watching now. And I'm not even a trek guy. It's strangely compelling.

Joel's DOOM mapping contest streams have been some of my favorite in a while, just from the sheer variety of maps submitted, ranging from good to amazing. Especially whenever an Arch-Vile shows up.

I'm a massive Star Trek fan and DS9, which Vinny usually mentions the most, is one of my favorite series (second only to TNG). So no.

Again, I know people complain about this, but it's not like it's a surprise that Vinny is a Star Trek fan. Everyone knows this. Vinny's been talking about Star Trek ad nauseam since 2010, and he's showing no signs of stopping. It's kind of like asking him to stop doing those stupid voices he does - could he stand to do them a little less? Probably. But is he going to? Nope. Best to accept it and suck it up, because complaining isn't going to change anything, and I'd also guess that you're in the minority on this issue; Vinny's fanbase is very "nerd-adjacent" for lack of a better phrase, so it's a guarantee that most of them have seen Star Trek, and since Star Trek is fantastic, it's also highly probable that most of them LIKE Star Trek. So majority wins out there.

Seconding these. I did a full relisten to San Andreas not that long ago and it really is just as good as I remembered. Oblivion is FANTASTIC - I can't use that one to fall asleep because it always ends up cracking me the fuck up and I just end up watching it instead of sleeping. The DOOM maps are a bit loud for me (in terms of using them to sleep), but after the map contest in 2019 I ended up sifting through as much of the DOOM backlog as I could find because the streams themselves were fantastic.

I'd also highly recommend his Undertale streams (if you're a fan of the game), his Earthbound streams, and his Wrestling MPire streams. There's a lot more I can think of, since I watch quite a bit of Joel, but I'll stick with these for now as I think they're all solid choices.

It’s old vids like these that make me wish Vinny did more dumb shit on camera like he used to. Fingers crossed he goes back to his roots and makes Teabag Condom 2, or some other facsimile of it.

I just kinda put up with it until he changes the subject. It's like when I started listening to Last podcast on the left, which Vinny introduced me to of course, and I can feel my eyes start to glaze over and my brain melt as Henry and Marcus start to ramble about Pleiadians and Grays but I keep listening anyway cause I just like the guys.

uh i guess random contributuion i dont think hacker's voice isnt neccesarily fake its just tone, like the "real" voice you discovered she doesnt slip into its just her mood

edit: i guess just to clarify when she got angry on a stream (not Vins) aboutpeople saying her voice was fake, she was talking in the "real" voice u pointed out

I dont have anything against Hacker but it didn't help her much with the loli voice complaints when she switched to a little girl anime avatar last VR stream and pretended to drown in the table lmao. Noticed Vinny immediately turned away from it. Whether it was intentional to ignore it or not, it was probably for the best.

Either someone from here or maybe there is a subreddit. I doubt vin is losing his crackers, this is a common streamer/letplayer issue, since they end up playing a game past where they are super interested because they have to make a full segment out of it instead of switching games on a whim, just ending up not paying attention and missing stuff.

vinny not on by 10 my time seems weird, didn't tweet and said he'd be on today at the end of last night's stream, hmm. oh well i'll just catch up on x's adventures in minecraft
 
Vinny has been experience a bit of brain fog lately, due to his use of melatonin to fall asleep. I can't imagine that that's making his memory any better right now.
