Reflecting on some old content with Vinny, and I was wondering; were those Parroty Interactive games like Star Warped that bad? I mean, unlike shit like Wacky Funsters, at least it wasn't crammed with dogshit minigames and nothing else. I mean, it still had some bad stuff, the humor certainly isn't fantastic but I think I may just be a moron and don't understand why those were so bad aside from "parody bad".

The were pretty unfunny, nothing is more painful than comedy that doesen't hit.
 
I guess it really is as simple as that. Thanks for the answer, at least. Does make me wonder why it's so funny when Vinny does similar things. Is it execution? Charm? Personality? All of the above cause that's obvious?

Think of it like this, it's like when you bring up an in-joke to someone without context. Most in-jokes, the humor is because of some weird context that you and your friends share, but to the average person, they just hear the joke-itself and most of the time, it's not very funny, or isn't a joke at all.

i was not aware of how horribly obnoxious and loud SinCityAssassin was until i watched the new geoguessr video. jesus christ, i didn't think it was possible to beat mike in terms of loudness but that guy takes the cake by far.
 
This is offtopic, but I was watching s streamer play that new "Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe" and they managed to make it less funny. They completely removed the best ending
Set fire to every orphan within 30km
because it had "racist imagery" which was literally part of the fucking joke, and they have an option that every streamer enables that puts a literal fucking "trigger warning" before every slightly edgy joke. Along with HILARIOUS self-referential humor about how it became a cult classic. What's the point of adding content to a comedy game, if you go back and fucking remove jokes and content that was previously in it. All the new shit sucks. But I guess that's what you get when you have a modern day Bri'ish dev go back to their old somewhat competent satirical one-hit-wonder.


Imagine if movies did this shit, American Psycho gets re-released, but they remove the Jew joke for being offensive, and then also add a black Heroine that shoots Patrick Bateman at the end.
Oh but they would also re-name it to "Crazy White American".

Didn't they do that back in the 1.1 update (back around 2013 or so near release) because some golliwog journalist got her frizzy hair in a tizzy?

They censored it, by alluding to that Stanley did it, instead of actually doing it, but now they've just completely removed it.

What's more annoying, is that they go back and make an old decent game slight worse, instead of just making a new game. Like they could have just made a sequel, or a similar game, or hell, maybe even a unique new game. But it's much easier to milk the thing that worked 8 years later, so who cares.

Yeah but it's like, it got to their head YEARS after it was super popular.

I'll admit the game is somewhat of a "cult-classic". They could have just released merch, or teased a new game, but instead they pretty much release dlc years later. I guess they were really hurting financially.
 
So Joel seems to have come to an agreement with his neighbor, he'll be quieter when it's late/early local time.

I also understand that he literally payed someone to fuck off, but I didn't catch if it was the neighbor in question.
