I don’t think there’s a streamer out there nicer than joel when it comes to shit games, he is ridiculously positive to anyone attempting to create anything. The fact that this dude still had a problem with the mild constructive criticism he gave is hilarious. Also, I watched the stream. His game is fucking terrible lmao

Yeah but mattpat said it was friggin awsomesauce, so clearly yoel is misinformed.

I agree she is also one of the more interesting in the fandom to keep tabs on, seems like a nice enough kid, but she's just so obsessed, some times I think she wants to wear Vinny's skin.

I weirdly know exactly what you mean, and I actually agree. It's hard not to feel a bit bad for her since, as you said, she seems nice enough (in spite of how deeply awkward she is as a person), but the way she approaches her ""relationship"" with Vinny is so strange to me. She talks all the time about wanting to "put distance" between herself and her fanbase (which consists of like... five people maybe?), but then seems to consider herself on a different echelon when it comes to interacting with/talking about Vinny, even though it's pretty clear he wants nothing to do with her. I hope someone's at least trying to guide her in a better direction, cause she really does double down on the crazy where Vinny is concerned.

On a personal note: I sorta hate how the moderators allow some of the fucking parasocial community members to stay within the community and not punish them in some way to avoid the creepy shit but because they hate drama and having people cause pushback they'll never do anything about it. There are just too many fuckin weird as shit people that the community puts in high places for people to look up to. It's honestly fucking sad.

I think the inherent issue with this is that these are the exact types of people that allowed Vinny to get where he is now. Even the most obsessive fans tend to be well-meaning, just painfully awkward or unaware of how their behavior looks to others. There are, of course, many exceptions where there was definitely malicious intent, but frankly they're pretty few and far between. Hell, Vinny went a good 4-5 years with no major fan-streamer drama until the allegations last year. He was doing the right thing by keeping himself scarce, and now that everything's gone down, I think he'll probably continue doing so. At this point, that's really all he can do.

Wish I had experienced the golden days of 'sauce.

What was the previous drama 4-5 years before? I'm mostly Joel aficionado, so I'm not that aware of what was happening in pizzapasta man's life.

Man, in rewatching these videos I saw a bunch of names I recognized from the Chatango era, one of whom I actually still have contact with. There was a lot of bad shit, but these videos really take me back; the loss of the forums really did lead to the unfortunate dispersal of the Vinesauce community as it once was. Such a shame.

Honestly, there was mostly little stuff here and there, and I think we've talked about the majority of it in this thread already. The last "big" thing I remember happening with Vinny-specific drama was Vinny's stalker around 2015, who had him added on Facebook (back when he still added fans there :story:) and somehow got access to his personal account, the one with his real name and all his friends & family. If memory serves, they saw one of his posts stating he was heading to a local restaurant for dinner and actually turned up there, even tried to sit down with him and his friends. I recall it being said he took this in stride and was very polite to the person until they left, but after that he really locked his social media down; I think he either changed the name of the private FB account, or deleted it entirely.

Beyond that were just the occasional smatterings of complaints about Vinny's interactions with fans, usually if he snapped at somebody in the chat or had a mini tantrum during streams, and the occasional overly attached fan who would find out about Vinny having a romantic or sexual relationship with someone and flip out. In terms of major drama, Vinesauce as a community has actually done a pretty solid job of keeping things contained, so that's why the stuff we do hear about (like the SgtFun logs from /v/) tends to be either fake or overblown, while the really bad stuff (like the aforementioned stalker) often goes years with no one finding out about it.

Huh, TBH idk where I got it from but I always thought Vinny was some weird anti-social with no IRL friends and a horrible dating life. Weren't there some creepy Skype leaks or something?? I was sure the farms would think he was a lolcow.
Joel's cool tho

He's normal and well adjusted enough to have been in more than one band with normies who have families and exist entirely outside of internet and gaming spaces.

Couple that with the fact he had a normal soul crushing job for years before quitting to stream as a sole income it shouldn't come as too surprising.

Also that he worked on public access tv and even had some segments on there tells me he was able to get along well enough with people and isn't anti social, maybe introverted and prefers some alone time but I've never had the impression he struggles with having good relationships with friends and family.

You're probably talking about the Sgt logs from /v/ that I just mentioned; as previously stated, the woman herself came to the thread and stated they were faked by someone else in the community years ago. They weren't creepy so much as fucking hysterically self-important, but as they were fake, that was probably the intention.

He's honestly one of the more well-adjusted streamers in terms of social life. He's definitely a bit of a homebody, but he does have friends, both IRL and online, and seemed to be going out with them quite regularly before the pandemic. The part about his dating life isn't too far off the mark, but that's mostly self-inflicted, not really for a lack of prospects.

Joel needs to transition to a Long Drive only streamer. That shit game is so fucking funny.

Joel is streaming in swedish for I assume april fools
He's been doing it for seven years already.
I'm so used to his voice I swear he's speaking english until I realize I have no idea what's being said
He's a good speaker, as in it's easy to tell what emotion he conveys from intonation alone. That makes it not hard to go along even if you don't know a word. I'm not a native speaker, so I feel like Joel streams are even partially responsible for me improving (or ruining :story:) my English.

So it’s officially been a year since the allegations happened. It’s nice that Vinny was able to bounce back and start regularly streaming again while taking more personal time to focus on himself.

Real question now is will he stream tonight, if he does that would be the ultimate fuck you to the whole allegation shit.
