Wish I had experienced the golden days of 'sauce.
Man, in rewatching these videos I saw a bunch of names I recognized from the Chatango era, one of whom I actually still have contact with. There was a lot of bad shit, but these videos really take me back; the loss of the forums really did lead to the unfortunate dispersal of the Vinesauce community as it once was. Such a shame.
What was the previous drama 4-5 years before? I'm mostly Joel aficionado, so I'm not that aware of what was happening in pizzapasta man's life.
Honestly, there was mostly little stuff here and there, and I think we've talked about the majority of it in this thread already. The last "big" thing I remember happening with Vinny-specific drama was Vinny's stalker around 2015, who had him added on Facebook (back when he still added fans there

) and somehow got access to his personal account, the one with his real name and all his friends & family. If memory serves, they saw one of his posts stating he was heading to a local restaurant for dinner and actually
turned up there, even tried to sit down with him and his friends. I recall it being said he took this in stride and was very polite to the person until they left, but after that he really locked his social media down; I think he either changed the name of the private FB account, or deleted it entirely.
Beyond that were just the occasional smatterings of complaints about Vinny's interactions with fans, usually if he snapped at somebody in the chat or had a mini tantrum during streams, and the occasional overly attached fan who would find out about Vinny having a romantic or sexual relationship with someone and flip out. In terms of major drama, Vinesauce as a community has actually done a pretty solid job of keeping things contained, so that's why the stuff we do hear about (like the SgtFun logs from /v/) tends to be either fake or overblown, while the really bad stuff (like the aforementioned stalker) often goes years with no one finding out about it.
