Checked the subplebbit out of boredom and noticed this.

Am I the only one whom that image just rubs in a wrong way? It feels like some tumblr gay ship rather than celebration of long-awaited fren meeting. Not to mention Joel not looking like himself. Dude's balding and has an overgrown Fred Durst goatee in most of the photos, I really doubt he'll have a full-ass beard.

I have seen exactly one photo of Joel and I would never put 2 and 2 together there.

I must at least hand it to Cheesy that she's worked hard on improving her artstyle from a year and a half ago. But I do ultimately agree that this does have some weird vibes to it.

God damm there is something seriously wrong with Cheesy, don't even get me started on how she left a essay of a comment on that video where Vinny and Liam Triforce chat for a while responding to everything they talked about. She gives off mad parasocial vibes...

Given that she was friends with CryptidKitten (or at least all those art hoes pretended to be super besties <3) you would have thought that she learned a valuable lesson from that whole debacle but I guess not....

It's a bold assumption to make that someone low-key like Cryptid would willingly be friends with someone so outwardly and blatantly kiss-ass like Cheesy. Odds are she tolerated Cheesy, like she did with most people in the Vinesauce community until shit hit the fan and she dipped.

That's the thing: Cheesy is sooo openly parasocial about the people she watches that anyone with a functioning brain stem could draw the conclusion that she's probably not someone you'd wanna spend alone time with if she's your "biggest fan". She also tends to refer to her friendship simulators by their first names and makes it sound like she's a lot more in with their circles than reality. That drawing she did for Joel highlights that delusion right there in the paragraph:

"Don't be afraid to hit me up, I'd love to buy you a coffee or something...etc"

...With what money? From your mother's purse? Like... come on. She can't actually think Joel's gonna read that and say to himself, "Yeah! I'll fly across the ocean to hang out with an 18 year old next time I'm in Florida!". For one, that's begging for some creeperinos to ensue (if Joel has no common sense in this hypothetical), and secondly- they have about as much in common than Vinny and PeachJars do in that Among Us VR stream.

That comment was genuinely shocking with how much of her opinions are basically word for word things that Vinny has said himself on stream. I mean... when the allegations dropped, she suddenly decided to distance herself from her "fans" because she "doesn't want people examining her private life". Yeah Cheesy, i'm sure that all of two people in your Twitch chat are DYING to know the REAL you off stream and your personal life, ok. Surely Vinny has to be aware of her behavior and has some kind of middleman barrier between them when he does VR stuff with friends. I could go on about her for ages since she's definitely one of the more interesting Vinesauce-adjacent people in recent years... but not for a good reason at all lol.

There was a circle of about 5 or so weirdo "high profile" Vinesauce artists that would always hang around in discords/VR chat/whatever and tag each other in shit constantly on twitter, drawing their little OCs and whatever for each other, I recall both of them being in this group but I could be wrong, shit was a long time ago.

I do think that she was "tolerated" at most by some of them though since majority seemed could put their autism away from at least 10 minutes for a conversation with out being a walking Vinny reference.

I agree she is also one of the more interesting in the fandom to keep tabs on, seems like a nice enough kid, but she's just so obsessed, some times I think she wants to wear Vinny's skin.
 
I've unfortunately seen what Cheesy is like in discord. She had some strange rules in that Artcord server saying you aren't allowed to thirst after real people, especially streamers they like. I wondered why that was since you have to be 18+ to join and nothing pornographic was allowed. Cheesy even deleted some of my messages pretty much saying, "Vinny doesn't know you". I don't think she knows him either.

She and the rest of the people that hang around her are clearly way too obsessed with Vinny to the point where they're putting up the facade that they totally don't have a parasocial relationship with him. They constantly fawn over him (also Joel to a lesser extent) and all the while they try to lecture others and say that streamers are not just pieces of meat.

A particular hilarious exchange I had with some of the people there was when I posted a gif of that wolf from the Tex Avery cartoons in regards to Vinny showing up in a dream I had. At the time I didn't think much of it because I presented it as a joke, but they immediately started chastising me saying that it's not ok to joke about being thirsty for Vinny. I was a little confused because they were doing the same thing, but creepier. When I explained that I was just goofing around, they acted as if what I did was equivalent to sexual harassment. Then they told me that I should stop making excuses and accept accountability over posting said gif. Like I have no respect for these people who unironically see Vinny as this "unproblematic soft asexual bean uwu".

I highly doubt that Vinny is going to care about some random furry posting an awooga.gif on discord. I've pretty much held the common opinion that he's handsome but that's it. Is it now forbidden to compliment him on his appearance because of some bullshit drama?

Most of the rules in place were requested by the mod staff of Vinny's Twitch channel. It's also why they changed the name of the Artcord from the Vinesauce Art Discord to just Artcord to further separate from the Vinesauce name.
The whole drama and kiwi farms snooping into the discord to find dirt also lead them to crack down on things a bit more.
Generally speaking, part of the reason why Vinny was drained with dealing with the community (before the drama) was BECAUSE of all of these offshoots that ended up popping up and any drama happening in them he would want to try to micromanage either with himself or with his mods stepping in to send a message from Vinny as a way to make sure they get things in place.

There's a lot of behind-the-scenes networking that takes place that barely is talked about but generally, most people that are running these subcommunities have connections to the moderators and Vinny. I'd argue the fact it's run like this has led to most drama never surfacing in the first place as keeping everyone within the know allowed for easy mitigation of bullshit to reach the general public.
This is from my experience when talking to different community members some pretty involved and some long-term users in the community in regards to moderation. Plus it makes sense when you look at how things sorta all work together during the charity stream when most of the subnets seem to post the same info at the same time as the information is given to them among many other things.

Also regarding CheesyDraws, I do think she's super parasocial but I also think she's just fucking awkward as shit in any social interaction in the first place. She seems to suffer from something that causes her hyper fixation, as usually that's why she's like this, as sometimes she just doesn't talk about anything or she'll just be talking half a mile a minute and saying anything without repercussion even if it's rude or mean-spirited.

On a personal note: I sorta hate how the moderators allow some of the fucking parasocial community members to stay within the community and not punish them in some way to avoid the creepy shit but because they hate drama and having people cause pushback they'll never do anything about it. There are just too many fuckin weird as shit people that the community puts in high places for people to look up to. It's honestly fucking sad.

From what people told me, Artcord was made for collaborations and that it isn't that connected to Vinecord at all. It's a little strange when you mentioned that it's to separate themselves from Vinesauce when that's all they post about. If mods aren't actually doing their job to keep certain people in line, then I really question their rules and how they actually enforce them. Drama like that is just going to continue in an endless spiral if they're just going to sit on their ass and not do any sort of moderation at all.

I'd imagine the creeps in the community slip through the cracks because they constantly try to please either Vinny or the mods and act overtly nice to them. They don't realize how fucked up they actually are because in their mind, they're just trying to protect Vinny. I think people like Cheesy are majorly projecting when they claim that they don't treat streamers like a piece of meat. It wouldn't surprise me if she thinks her hyper-fixation on Vinesauce is perfectly healthy.

I didn't even know about KF members going in the server until now, I just found it through that "Cooking with Vinesauce" animation they did.

The only reason I found out about KF was Cheesy complaining about being spoken about in the thread here. :story:

I was in the Artcord during it's first 3 or so months because it was fun to watch the autism present there. I never even knew it got renamed. Mostly just felt like a friend group + orbiters who wanted to get into it to try and get closer to the streamers.

What did Kiwis even do to make these guys so upset? Maybe if these people took some chill pills they wouldn't be a laughing stock at the moment. Also the gif I posted was considered to be a bannable offense. 🤣

It seems to me that it's not that hard to get close these streamers. I'd imagine it was pretty easy to get Vinny's attention if you're a girl he finds attractive. I'm guessing these weirdos think they have a chance with him by making as much art as possible in order to be noticed by him.
