I'm not sure what exactly it was but the frequency and breadth of his streaming definitely added to his appeal. A lot of his prerecorded stuff feels stale in comparison. Not to mention the loss of Sunday streams, which were usually great and something that not many people on Twitch dabbled with.

I think his enthusiasm for streaming games has (understandably) taken a big hit, but he knows he can't afford to live off of Red Vox sales. I'd like to see him make a return to more regular and substantial streams, but at almost a year in I'm not getting my hopes up.
Worry not, Kwazi, Vine's got several non-entertainment prospects like going back to his bank job, working at the deli, and being a club promoter. Anyone else remember the odd jobs he's had? I vaguely remember that before going into fulltime streaming, he worked at a studio doing editing, but his manager made it a bad environment. He's always had those relatable modern experiences.

Man I miss job having vinny streams. He would come home from work boot up stream and just shit talk his work and fuck around with the retards in chatango. Played some weird games people made in a day or so good times

Not going to step into the "Why Binyot no longer funneh!?" discussion, but I figured I'd stop by and say that I really enjoyed Visions. I strongly agree with what one poster said earlier: it's strong start to finish and as a whole album, and I think it's their best effort yet. Everything feels pretty cohesive and both the instrumental and vocal aspects have improved from earlier efforts. Overall, an enjoyable listen and I'm really interested to see where they go next.

On an aside; for those who have listened to to "I'll Know" - anyone else get the feeling the song seems to be an answer towards his accusers?

I'll believe it when I see it
I'll believe it when they put out the sun
Why talk about it? Why walk around it?
Just step inside until it's all said and done

I know I'm on the outside wherever I go
It's gone beyond a landslide
I'd rather go home
Go home

Nice to meet you
Nice to leave you
Thanks for the memories, and thanks for the love
There's an answer, out on the highway
Looks to me like I should be only one

My hopes, my soul, my dark side; primed to explode
A void, a hole, a landmine
Everyone knows
They know.

I know my faults, my downsides; more than you know
I'll be the one to get right, all on my own

I know I'm on the outside
I know I'll find the upside
I know who I am on the inside

More than you know

Wherever I go
Wherever I go

I'll know.

Vinny is always pretty tight-lipped about the lyrics because he likes to leave things up to the interpretation of the listener, which I appreciate. But this one seems fairly direct and I absolutely get the feeling it was an emotional track for him to record. With all he's been through and the fact he turned to music after the accusations surfaced, I'd be surprised if he didn't have at least one vent track on the album. And honestly? It's pretty damn good - probably in the top 3 for me on this album personally.
vinny claims all of the song lyrics were written before the scandal

the part that really does it for me is the whole "i know who i am on the inside" part. that's pretty identical to what he said in his response to the accusations. the "everyone knows, they know" part aswell.
if that's not referring to what happened to him in april then i don't know what is. i was pretty surprised to see him not mention it at all around the end of the year, but i guess he wanted to do it in song form instead where if anyone were to ask him about it he could easily shrug it off by saying "you can interpret the song however you like.", which really, is probably the smartest possible way of going about it.

I go through phases of watching particular streamers and have actually been watching some Vinny lately. Project Zomboid has been pretty good, that Mario 64 ROM hack Build 3313 I still need to watch but looks interesting, and I watched some of his older VR Chat Among Us stuff recently. There's no real quality change for me, it just comes down to what a streamer is streaming at the time.

As for Red Vox and Visions, I've been enjoying it so far. The back half of the album from There's a Place on is fantastic, and the front half is pretty good. Listening to it in order I was worried that it was going to have the same issue as Another Light where the singles were the best songs, but then All About a Feeling and I'll Know came on and I was sold. Still think that Another Light is my favorite RV album, but I'd put Visions and Realign on par with each other and all 3 are fantastic.

does anyone here remember that GTA 5 promo video thing that a bunch of gaming youtubers, including vinny, were in a few years ago? i've been looking for it for ages, and while searching "grand theft auto V vinesauce" has netted me some half decent results (i wasn't aware how many entertaining vinesauce gta online clips existed), none of it seems to be this one video that i'm looking for.
i recall it having a facecam of vinny on-screen when his screen is shown during the video, which is surreal in it's own way. must have been around the 2014-2016 period of time where vinny would do things like promote a rockstar game.

Joel recently mentioned he will be doing more Signal Simulator. Those were some of the comfiest (and funniest) streams he's ever done, so I can't wait.
Comfy for chat maybe. I don't think Joel can physically get comfy playing that game.

Didn't most of spooks like flickering lights and opening doors come from Kirillian fucking with his copy of the game after Joel requested him to add jumping?

You're thinking of the Cunning Stunts promo that Rockstar did with Vinny and some other streamers back in 2016. You can see the full video here, along with a pizza review (another vlog of the same pizza review here) and a bonus video from that same day. The pizza reviews you'll need to skip ahead for the actual "good" content. How he got paired with mostly insufferable vloggers is beyond me, but it was nice to know that chat was rooting for him big time during that event when it was streamed live.

I can't believe Wii Sports Resort of all things would be my favorite vinny stream in a while. Don't know why, but he felt more unwound and chill than usual, made some jokes chat didn't like and didn't back down like usual. (making fun of smash melee fans)

Where do you think vinny would be if his streaming career never went off? Still working some shitty jobs, paying child support to some Staten Island chick he hooked up with Ect Ect…

I find it hard to imagine the guy doing anything given his mental health. He seems to be very depressive at times I say it’s miracle his career ever took off the way it did. I’m happy the guys doing okay but I can’t help but wonder what if?

Any thoughts?

I don't think he's that depressed, I think its actually the streaming that has made him depressed and feel the need to hook up with random fangirls. He has a lot of normie irl friends and lives in New York with a bachelor's degree. I'm of the opinion his life might be better and more happy - a regular person with maybe a nice nerdy wife to share his interests and a white collar job, plus time to go on walks and feed ducks.
