I'm seeing some incredibly stupid takes on why Vinny shouldn't sue. A common refrain I see is that "defamation cases are notoriously hard to prove so it's simply not worth". This is completely retarded reasoning, especially since the claims against Vinny meet the standard of defamation per se under New York law. Since Vinny would most likely be considered a limited-purpose public figure, he has to prove in court that the claims against him meet the standard of Actual Malice, meaning that the defendant knows for a fact that the statement they are making is false. Examine the damaging statements made against Vinny: Allegations of knowingly infecting women with HPV, Allegations of moral turpitude meant to harm his livelihood, allegations of a conspiracy to intimidate women to hide damaging information. As a limited-purpose public figure, Vinny is embroiled in a controversy directly related to these allegations and, in my opinion, has every right to sue. The fact that defamation cases are hard to prove is a misleading statement; it's hard to prove because the standard for proof is very high, not because courts simply don't like taking up defamation cases, Remember, in America, anyone can sue anyone for any reason, it's the judge who decides if a case can go to trial. The only thing that may be preventing Vinny from starting a lawsuit is not actually knowing who made the claims against him. However, there are ways to get this information and I'm betting that some of these "accusers" are people of which Vinny is already well aware.

I see. I have little desire to install SnapChat (why would anyone?) to verify this, so I'm just going to have to take your word for it. Still skeptical about it in the end.

I don't see why people like this don't own up to their mistakes, and try to cut what ties them down out of their lives. I guess it's the mentality that no one should change you for who you are? But in the world of streaming, it doesn't pay to be in cahoots with actual criminals.
 
GPM blocked me. Must've been doomscrolling for mentions of his name on Twitter and saw me mildly defending him over the charity accusations.

I shouldn't take this personally, but it hurts despite me never watching or interacting with the guy for years.

That is indeed something i've never seen before, anybody know if there was a trigger to this? did he post something? or was this just a matter of twitter servers taking too long to update the actual numbers?

Does blocking people make them unfollow you? Maybe he just said 'fuck it' and blocked his whole follow list. I wouldn't know, the only thing I use twitter for is to point and laugh.

I will not take your word on it. All we need is timestamps. Don't post anything else. Building a time line is what builds your alibi. You've shown us nothing that can prove any of this happened at all, so at least give us the full time line.

I mean, even if the allegations are true, I guess my mental image of Vin gets in the way with the fact that he's a man with needs. Dude can't stand being in a room full of people for 10 mins., wears gloves to handle coins, needs to have a bottle of sanitizer near him at all times, and takes Tums when he gets even a little stressed. Though, granted, that all sounds like he could be a serial killer? I don't know. Point is, I have a hard time believing he wants to fuck fans.

Man I hope Vinny doesn't quit over this. Vinny ,Joel and Rev are the most based streamers on Twitch and are really the only humble ones left

-No obnoxious stream overlays with tips and shit
-Doesn't read out tips and bits (unless there's a huge ass sub-bomb)
-Doesn't do greedy shit like set tips goals or sub goals (except for charity, of course)
-No retarded TTS
-Doesn't do face cam (except for VDUB and for gameboy camera)
-Mods are actually pretty cool, you get fair chances in the chat and it's not some North Korea regime were you get insta perma-banned for disagreeing with the streamer overlord
-Doesn't accept donos

That's what got me into Vinny and that's why I'll continue to watch Vinny things I mentioned above are hard to find these days on Twitch

From what I got, he likes being flirtatious with fans and sending lewds. Not exactly on the same level as Dan or James, constantly searching out people into him.
