We didn't leave guys behind in camps, the North was honest during the peace negotiations, stop it.

One time I ran into a stolen volar boomer who was too badass for Vietnam; he insisted he only did top secret spec ops in Laos. I used to think that the "Laos larper" was just a joke stereotype, but I guess it's the boomer version of today's Seal Team 6 larpers.

Shitty premise for a thread aside, the multitude of fake warriors out there certainly makes potential lolcow material.
 
Vietnam Vets were mostly pressed, afaik. Sure you could dodge the draft kinda easily if you had some means but Afghanistan vets were in it purely for the gibs and out of their own volition. Big difference in my mind.
Respect to those who didn't commit warcrimes and made it through.
