From that article:

"The U.S. Agency for International Development says Friday that about 191 tons of relief supplies have been delivered to a depot in Cucuta, Colombia since Feb. 4. That includes food for 2,000 people for a month and medical material such as hygiene kits, wheelchairs, crutches, bandages and examination gloves."

USAID is a CIA front. What are they really doing there?

That said, 100% for Brazil taking over Venezuela. Usher in the future we want.
Maybe a dumb question but what difference does it make if it's the CIA providing the relief? It's food that the people need and it's gotta be better than UN "rape everyone in sight" peacekeepers.

Columbia annexing Venezuela would make way more sense. They at least speak the same language and both used to be part of Gran Colombia.

There was an attempt to bucket brigade aid across the Simon Bolivar bridge. GNB deployed tear gas to breakup it up.

4 trucks tried to force their way across the Francisco de Paula Santander bridge. More tear gas caused the trucks to be abandoned on the bridge. Pro-Maduro forces may have fired on the crowd.

Pro-Guaido crowds are surrounding several military bases including the La Carlota airbase in Caracas.

Honestly at this point I can't imagine Maduro and the Chavistas have a lot of civilian supporters left, I know a small number marched for him a few days ago but their numbers were tiny compared to supporters of this other guy, so I'm more inclined to believe it was some assholes from the army

what good could possibly come from maduro supporters toasting food???

It's like when you're down 42-7 with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter but refuse to pull your starters: they're doing it out of a fucked-up sense of "pride".

That or they're so dumb they actually think that by "winning" this "battle" (by burning the food), they're winning the larger "war". I can't imagine they're that stupid. But let's see how this strategy plays out for them.

They're communists, food is an antithesis to them

Because the Aid delivery might include CIA assets who will come shit-stir in your country, and possibly things that aren't food to help CIA assets already in your country shit-stir.

Its dumb from a "keep your people from starving and dying in the streets" perspective but not from a "refuse to release grip on power" perspective.

I don't know why the CIA would have to, Maduro is already doing a really good job at shit-stirring things.

That and it lets them flip the bird at the hegemony of the United States, as far as geopolitics go we see South America as our backyard and even crafted the Monroe Doctrine to keep Europe out since we called dibs.

Just look at when the Mexicans were fighting it out with the French during the second French intervention, we were watching it closely, on top of dealing with the Civil War. We sent loads of supplies to the Mexicans to help them repel the French.

Reports are the Aid ship has turned around back to the Antilles and the convoy trucks are going back to Columbia. Maduro's border wall has saved his country from an influx of free food & medicine, and he's also showing the world he's a strong, independent socialist who don't need no Columbia. Roger Waters is vindicated yet again.

You can't churro the Maduro.
