Originally it was meant to be released somewhere in March. After critique of game state they decided to take more time and release somewhere in autumn, I believe. There’s still no release date.

They're basically Choose Your Own Adventure Books with some video game aspects (you have stats and it affects the story). They're pretty great if you're stuck on a flight or something. I fly a lot so I've played quite a few.
They actually had a series of Vampire games before that were heavily inspired by VtM and the Southern Vampire books that inspired True Blood.
For people who like that type of thing, I reccommend the Arthurian one, the Broadway one, the Vampire Ones, the Robot One, and the Court one.

The trailers tone seems really at odds with the atmosphere they want (or need to cultivate since this is a horror game). Are vampires scary or are they over the top Jokers who all dance around to violence because lolsorandom xD Funny parts or funny characters is the not the same as making the entire tone silly. Original bloodlines can be funny in places but it's still a horror game at it's core. This is also not the first body horror serial killer in a game, Evil Within 2, Bioshock, Fallout all had the same kinda trope of a character and it's a lazy retread. I feel they're trying to invoke the same background as the original which had the Santa Monica serial killer but when VTMB did it, it was somewhat original...
It also gave no perspective to the story at all and gave zero sense of the focus other than quick snippets of gameplay they cobbled together. I asked what my husband thought who is also a big VtM fan and he reckons the gameplay might be solid but the story will invaribly suck big balls. A bit like the inverse of Vampyre, the story I thought was decent but the combat gameplay was terrible and frustrating.
The only thing of note is that the one bloke in the high rise dancing looks vaguely like La Croix but who knows.

I think the purple eyes are only visible to the dude. We did bite people in nightclubs in the previous game, with no masquerade violation.

Yeah at least that can be explained by assuming the dude was drugged up. The rest of the trailer was full of masquerade violations lol. Yeah lemme just levitate across rooftops and summon bat clouds in the street and shit. Just wish the thinblood abilities weren't so cheesy. I hope we can pick a clan early in the game, I want to be able to boil the blood of my enemies again.

Some thoughts on the trailer:
1. Someone on the dev team clearly is a hipster faggot who thinks vinyl dabes. Now, if I reasonably believed it was say an ancillia it'd be one thing. But no, and here's why.
1b. They also clearly liked the Joker movie. Yeah, it's a great movie, but aping Joaquin Phoenix is vague looks and in the dancing doesn't fucking work and just makes me think you're uncreative.
2. Puppet corpses is just dumb. It's suitably edgy, but dumb. Also bitch best be a Sabbat or Anarch, because haha holy shit the Sherriff ain't gonna want to clean that fucking thing up and come up with an excuse.
3. Stop dancing. Stop dancing game. STOP DANCING.
3b. FUCKING STOP DANCING GAME, IT DOESN'T MAKE YOU QUIRKY IT MAKES YOU FEMBUSTERS.
4. The club "kiss" was too blatant and it's clear they don't have a subtle animation like the old game did. Lazy.
5. The summoning of bats? Animalism doesn't work that way. Also you'd be so fucking dead for doing this since weird flocks make the kine ask questions.
6. FUCK YOU STOP DANCING *USES SPIRIT NUKES TO FUCKING YEET THE CITY*
No hype, and it's still using prerendered for the most part. It also looks like creation engine shit too when you summon or beat dudes because of how jank they look when they float in the air.

Idk, devs talk a lot about careful representation of mentally ill people, but for now the only crazy character we see is a typical fish-Malk “uwu I’m crazy, quirky and I like to kill people”, huh.

I didn't comment on the levitation scene for a reason; it wasn't that obvious and it's clear he has the advantage of it being a rainy cloudy night and he's roof hopping. The others didn't have enough context for me to judge either, barring the Animalism swarm.
