Oh Christ I couldn't stand that bitch just because she reminded me of almost every girl I had classes with in college, right down to the pissy attitude towards everyone and the Che Guevara hat while proclaiming themselves to be "totes left and free!"

Did she have any character beyond "you cammy fuck!" at all? Unlike Nines Rodriguez, who grew up in the Dust Bowl in Oklahoma and who you could see as being an anarch and having some revolutionary zeal at that stage, and Skelter whose hatred of The Man arose from his time in Vietnam and how he was sent over there for something he knew nothing about, Damsel was just another tiresome college know-it-all communist LARPer.

If you do the plague bearer quest for the Anarchs instead of Strauss, she starts to warm up a little, but still throws around the "Cammy bootlicker" comments.

Edit: forgot to say God help you if you play a Ventrue. She's pretty much dead set on hating you no matter what if so.

Ahah, I saw an interview with VtMB2 head of narrative, I believe. She told how Damsel was an awesome character and how different players saw her differently, but she is cool, because she is for revolution.
Not a single word that some may hate her
I hate Damsel

I remember Skelter insulted Damsel when you talked to him, and basically called her a dumbass ignorant hippie. Her entire character is a jab at white college girls who claim they're brave revolutionaries when the people who experienced actual shit (Skelter and Nines) understand the nuances behind what every faction does, including the Camarilla, and are far more moderate in their approaches. Even if you work with the Camarilla, Nines will treat you amicably if you do so in return and give good reasons for supporting them.

Of course the new writer likes her, she's basically the exact person that Damsel was poking fun at.

I wanted to like this, but as I've said before I think I might just bone back up on pre'99 ttp VTM instead and maybe start playing that again. I hadn't played since back when I was younger but the more I read up on the current lore the less I care.

Fucking Spirit Nuke is bullshit imo and everything after can get fucked. I'll stick with the panic and confusion available in the lead up and play VTMB if I want to play a video game.

The spirit nuke was pre ‘99 IIRC

Lmao.

Guess those gameplay vids weren't received that positively, huh.

But remember - they thought it's totally fine to already get preordey money from fans :story:
Of course. Has Chris Roberts taught you nothing?

What's the over/under on the Tremere not getting their own mini-faction the way they did in the OG? (I always liked the Tremere best in that game.)

Love all the "yeah, I preorded the game, but at least you won't put your employees through crunch now, so I'm happy!" replies.

I also called it. This podunk literally who studio has had zero AAA or RPG experience and the presumption to take a ton of pre-orders in advance of a YEAR for an untested dev team is just bonkers.

This game will be a mess.

It was probably paradox's fault tbh, they love forcing this type of preorder/dlc bullshit into their games.

I'm fine with a delay because I want the game to actually be good, but I do still hope it will release sometime next year.

Paradox is a huge red flag for me. They seem so used to the grand strategy monetization model of releasing a large, but desolate game and then releasing a stream of DLC until the game is actually good, but costs 200 dollars.
